Either a person is a Christian, or they are not a Christian. The Bible never qualifies them with either 'true' or 'regular'.

It does, however, warn about wolves in sheep's clothing, infiltrating the flock of God. So some people can appear to be Christians without actually being so. Jesus described them as weeds planted amongst the wheat by Satan. Interestingly, in that parable, when the request was made to go into the field and tear the weeds out, the reply was, 'No. Leave them to grow alongside the wheat until harvest time. Then I'll send my angels in to pull them out and burn them.' Interesting, uh?

There are those who say they are Christians because their families were Christian, they attend a Christian church, all their friends are Christians. I think of these people as Christians by tradition.

Then there are the true Christians who believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that He was crucified and rose from the dead after three days, that He died as a sacrifice for our sins, and that eternal life is available to all who believe in Him, ask for forgiveness and repent of their sins.

True Christians believe the Bible. False "christians" have traditions over scripture.
