It's great that you've realized that there is a problem and it needs to be fixed.

The next step is to really commit yourself to stopping the behaviors and make a plan to follow. Tell whomever you get the drugs and alcohol from that you don't want them anymore. You have to choose to stay away from situations where you might be tempted to partake in those things, and you have to have enough will power to say no when it's offered to you.

It's all up to you, you just have to take control of the situation and don't be afraid to be different from any of your friends who might continue to do those things. Perhaps finding something healthier to do instead (like exercising, taking a bath, reading a book, etc.) whenever you're tempted is a good idea.

Good luck, I hope you get through this! I know someone who had a problem like that, and that person just needed to confide in someone else to become motivated enough to finally change. That person has been clean now for over a year!

Honestly.. I think you have to change your lifestyle.. My boyfriend was in the same situation as you were at first and he didn't wanted to end up like his friends so the best decision he ever did was join the navy.. He said he learn alot and there where it was when he became a man... He travel alot and saw many things and met many different people..
Its one option you could think of doing because you know will stop smoking and stop drinking alot... I think they do let you drink there when your off but its not a everyday thing,,,

Good Luck on that!!

you need to tell yourself that this is not the path you want to go and stick to it. It is as simple as that, and if you feel you need more help than that seek professional help, or talk to your parents. I'm sure the would want to help now and not later when you are probably doing crack.

I hope you can quit and good luck. I know you can do it!!

Just make the decision and throw it all away...it will be hard in the beginning, but it will get easier...throw it away or ruin the rest (what you have left when your on alcohol and drugs) of your very precious life...which is too short anyway...get rid of the drugs and booze!

It will probably be too hard to quit on your own if you are addicted. You need some help. Go to the local mental clinic or your Dr. can recommend a place to help you, such as AA.......xx

try Narcotics Anonymous. And perhaps AA.

both have websites, also.

No, you don't want to become dependent upon drugs or alcohol.. they can disturb the mind as well as harm your body.

take care of you. hugs

If you continue.... schizophrenia and /or depersonalization is what you'll get.

It's at least a likely outcome and I've seen it happen.
