Yes it is normal.
The spirits come to take them home (heaven)
They really do see and speak to deceased loved ones.

No offence really but certain states of mind (viz trip) can lead one to see and believe things that "aren't". Reality and perception have been a subject of debate for a very long time. So really, whats real for her might not be real for you -just try to define real.
But to make it simple enough for you, as a person of the world we believe we live in, if you really love your grandma then take good care of her.
If she says something, dont argue or try to prove her wrong. Listening to her will help even if what she says ain't nowhere logically correct.
And yes I have heard other people mention similar incidents/stories. I am not sure however how many of them actually witnessed such a thing. I never did myself.

I think maybe it is because you want to tell her that you are engaged and your mind still active realised although you can see her she can't hear you so she vanished without hearing what you had said. I get that maybe your subconcious freaked out thinking you saw a ghost and went on to have your aunt possessed ( loud shrills, possessed, exorsism ) all from a movie maybe you have seen before that has a ghost/ death. Sorry just a guess I dreams/ nightmares of dead relatives all of the time.

My mother in law passed away 2 yrs ago from cancer...While we were with her in her last few days she would smile peacefully and would occassionally mumble to herself.
I've never met her father as he crossed over several years ago but when I'd be in her room I could smell fresh wood and sweat.I wasn't told until during the time that she was crossing that he worked with wood as a craftsman. And I would smell flowers freshly picked flowers...Which I was told was what her sister smelled like when she was alive.
I expressed to my mother in law the day she passed away that seeing, hearing or smelling people from the past who are already crossed is a comforting sign that the veil between life and death is thinning. That it is just about her time and that those who went before her are patiently gathering to celebrate her arrival.I truly believe that.
It happened to me and for them yes it is normal...

I think it is normal. I read a book by Dr. Moody about people who had near death experiences and quite a few of them saw dead relatives.

Every person has strong memories imprinted in their brain of loved ones. When some one close passes away for years one can dream almost at will in vivid color about the person who is gone. She is probably remembering her loved ones.
Hopefully she can really see some of them and can meet them after she dies.
That is the hope I have that one day I will be able to meet my loved ones in heaven.
She will be fine and you have to believe that she will be fine after she is gone.

Yes, it's normal. My grandfather 'chatted' with all of his already deceased family before he died. It's sort of spooky! Just love on her and talk to her a lot. Try to think of all the things you want to say to her now.
I sincerely hope her passing is a peaceful one.
