First of all, it is a myth that cannabis effects your memory in the long run. It does effect your short-term memory during the duration that you are high, but after the high, the memory loss ceases. (Read the link below about the myth and research done). You just automatically assumed that because you smoked a lot of pot in your younger days that any signs of memory loss had to be the pot. You can't be so sure of that now can you?

If you want to improve your memory, just do simple puzzle games that warm up your brain like previously suggested. Usually they are best to do in the morning right after you wake up so that you are prepared for the rest of the day.

Smoking too much cannabis can damage you rmemory, but not as much as you might have heard. (I think that's a conspiracy by the anti-cannabis league)

Did you know that you can improve your memory just by giving yourslef positive affirmations? (If you can remember them) Seriously - try saying "I have a good memory and it is improving every day" Affirmations have been proven to work.

Read more and do puzzles, anything that will help re-train your memory. Try taking Ginko-biloba supplements.

If all else fails, be philosophical. Do we realy need memory? Live for the moment! Good luck!

It will never improve by itself. You will have to work on it. TIP
Go to a store window at night when it is quiet. Look at all the objects in the window care fully. Now go home. Write every thing down that you can remember that you saw. Next day go back and see how you did with your list. And keep doing this with every thing you do. This WILL improve your memory in time. Good Luck.

We all did stupid things when we were young.

There are lots of things you can do.

Keep your mind active - buy a 'brain trainer' google it and you will see ones you can buy and you use them for half an hour each day and you plot your progress so you can see it working.

Take a strong vitamin B complex supplement and take high dose Omega 3 fish oil - both have been clinically proven to improve brain function with regular long term use.

Good luck.

Yes, and nothing says the the pot definitely caused memory issues. However, the best way to increase your memory is to practice. Go get a Nintendo DS and Brain Age....

You just need to get your brain fit again. As humans we always have the capacity to learn, and we have a hella lot of brain going to waste as it is. I do a brain game on my phone which has a memory section, and is just a good, convenient way to have a wee brain workout.

Try fasting from time to time, say, twice a week. It will help purify and detox your body. It will clean your blood and as a result the brain will get more oxigen supply, thus improving your memory as well as other brain functions.
