That maybey Christianity is gods test of seeing how good a person you are? To see if you are really willing to discriminate against others eg:homosexuals, and people of other religions, to save your own soul? And at the end the people who choose to do what they felt was right instead of what they thought would benefit them in the end, will be the ones to go to heaven?

Why not read the New Testament and pray that God would show you His version of Christianity?
Your version (or my version) isn't going to cut it.
This is eternal life - or eternal hell.

Not all Christians discriminate. People that discriminate are not being Christ like. Jesus helped, and loved, the most despised people ie. prostitutes, tax collectors, crippled.
We can't do anything on our own to save our own souls, it's a free gift. No matter how many good (or what you think is good) things you do, you can't earn your way to heaven. That is one difference between Christianity and other religions. Other religions teach that you have to do things to reach up to god. Christianity is God reaching down to have relationship with man.
Some people don't "feel" like killing someone is wrong. Does that make it o.k.?

God does not test Christianity. The test God puts before us is if our Obedience is for or not for Him.
Christians do not accept the lifestyle of a homosexual, that is different from discimaination.
God gave every human being the choice to choose. Making choices that would "benefit" anyone could be a wrong choice. Remember, it is not by works that will get us to heaven. After accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, then our works will be judged in Heaven whether good or not good when we stand before Him to receive our reward.

As a Christian I don't discriminate, or try not to anyway, that would be a sin, just like drinking to much or lying or homosexuality. Acts 11:26 says And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch. Antioch in Greece is where the word Christian comes from, As a Christian I believe in the Bible, God's word tells us whats a sin and what is not. Be against sin is not discriminatory. Its believing in whats right. There will come a time in everyone's life when they will have to choose how they are going to believe, you will have to decide to become a Christian and go to Heaven or not and spend eternity with the devil. Some people say there is no God, but deep down really I don't think they believe that, our instincts tell us there is a God. The Holy Bible is Gods word, it says our sins seperate us from God, thats why Jesus came, to wash away our sins and be a perfect sacrifice on the cross. His shed blood atones for our sins. Now if we accept him by faith we can become born again, John 3:3. That is the only way to Heaven according to the Bible, alot of people may tell you different but thats the truth. You can be saved today if you believe, just pray this simple sinners prayer and Christ will make you a child of his, just say Dear Jesus, I know and confess that I am sinner in need of salvation. I believe you died on a cross at calvery and arose from the grave to wash away my sins, I ask you right now to come into my heart and save me, I pray this Prayer believing in the name of Jesus Amen. If you prayed this prayer with a sincere heart you are now a child of God, rejoice that your name is written in the Lambs book of Life. Jesus will now send his Holy Spirit to come and live in your heart and guide you into all truth. If you have any questions just send me an email, God Bless YOU!!

The test is whether or not we chooses to follow His Word. The Bible does not water down things such as homosexuality, false doctrines, etc. It clearly offers no apologies, no concessions, no ambiguity; homosexual practices, adultery, fornication, are all repulsive in God’s sight. and true Christians do not bend to fit the day's morality.

It also does not water down things found in false religion such as using images for worship i.e. the cross, statues, etc. He clearly states his feelings in scrip such as Exodus 20:45, Leviticus 26:1, 2 Corinthians 6:16 , 1 John 5:21,

Some have said that the various religions all represent different ways of presenting religious truth. But a comparison of their teachings and practices with the Bible indicates, rather, that the diversity of religions is because people have become followers of men instead of listening to God. It is noteworthy that, to a large extent, teachings they hold in common, but that differ from the Bible, originated in ancient Babylon.

What kind of person we are depends on how closely we follow His guidelines.

Actually, you're quite right. The people who choose to do what is right - not what we earthly humans feel is right - but what IS right according to the word of GOD - are the ones who get to go to heaven.

And, yes, if you read your Scripture, that includes accepting that Jesus is our savior...

We Christians believe that the only way to get to heaven (as is described in the Bible - you pick the version) is through believing that there is one God, one Savior (Jesus Christ) and one way to get to heaven and that is through accepting Jesus as our savior through his death, burial and Resurrection.

We also believe that once we are saved - we cannot be "unsaved" at the risk of our own souls. So that's not really an issue.

But accepting others - even those who may be different? Of course! Absolutely. Remember, Jesus dined with lepers and tax collectors. Paul was on his way to Damascus to persecute early Christians when he had his great conversion. Indeed the entire premises of the New Testament is about tolerance and healing.

Are Christians perfect? Heavens NO! We're as fragile and imperfect as anyone you care to name.

But we are, however, forgiven.

No...first of all, Christianity is not about getting to heaven like some sort of reward. Christianity, it about loving God and following him...even when it's tough and you have to go against popular opinion.

Christianity is not about discriminating against anyone. But when we see someone looking to justify sin instead of repent, then we should speak up. This is not to discriminate against the person...all are made in the image of God and loved by him. But sin is not acceptable...no one can justify sin and claim it to be something good. Jesus said "Go and sin no more." He did not say...that's okay, you were born that way.

Other religions are not discriminated against either...if they are, those that do the discriminating are not following Christ's example. He did not discriminate, but he did speak the truth and say "no one comes to the Father but by me." As much as we all want to be politically correct and claim that everyone's beliefs are equal...the truth is they are not. Jesus is the truth.

Actually yes. I have had that thought in a way.
That the "test", is actually to see whether or not we are willing to live our lives according to the example of Jesus Christ, or whether we'll use dogma as an excuse to express innate feelings of superiority, fear, ignorance and hatred.

I believe that just calling yourself "Christian" and then discriminating against people, preaching hatred and intolerance is what is displeasing to God. Using a catch phrase like, "I hate the sin not the sinner" and then proceeding lie about, persecute or to judge anyone who is different is a sin. A huge one.

No. Read the Bible and see the truth for what it is. Christianity is not a religion, it is a relationship and there are many that call themselves christian, but do not have the relationship.

Some of the most hate filled people I have ever met are those who hate Christians. The most closed minded people I know claim to be open minded, but refuse to listen to anything about the teachings of Christ.

Several of the worlds most ardent apologists got to where they are today by first trying to disprove Christianity and the existence of God.

No one in the World will ever be good enough to go to heaven because we cannot earn our way to heaven. that's why we all need Jesus, he paid our ransom in full, he paid the penalty so we wouldn't have to. Only faith through him makes you clean, but if you think you can get to heaven by doing good works then ur leaning on your own self-rightousness, and to think you're more rightoues than the Lord is foolish. Ephesians 2:8-9 says For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. That verse tells us that it's not our goodness that saves us, it's faith.

No. That isn't what saves us.

Jesus shed His blood on the cross of Calvery for the remission of my sins. I have confessed that I was a sinner & messed up sooo badly & I needed a Savior. Jesus saved me from my sins & healed me from the breakdown I was in.

It is only through faith in Jesus & what He did for me that I have received eternal life.

What you are describing is self righteousness. To do all that stuff is self righteousness & not Christ righteousness. When I was born from above, I am clothed in Christ righteousness. I could never be good enouph myself. Especially if I though condemning others made me better than them.

See? God gives Grace. Salvation isn't earned. It is a gift to receive from God. Through faith in Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God.

So? I don't have to worry about if I was right about everything. I am wrong at times & I know that God lets me know when I am wrong (if it matters to God). I am going to heaven only because Jesus paid the price for my sins & I have confessed Jesus Christ my Lord & Savior & believe He raised from the dead, victorious over death. So? I will raise up like Him in resurrection day complete. Resurrection day complete would be at the final trump (7th), but I believe I am resurrected at the rapture at a trump that is before the 7th trump.
