how do i pick the best answer when i ask an question?

you come back 4 hours after that and they have it where it says choose best answer by each answer and you choose one!

Let's see if I can remember how:) You go the page with your question and next to each answer, there's a button that says "Pick as Best Answer." You just click whichever one you want, give it a rating (one to five stars, depending on how helpful you found it) along with a comment and you're done! It's that easy:)

Addendum: Interesting. I looked over your past questions and saw that you chose a best answer to the first question you asked about four weeks ago.

Usually a day or so after posting a question I'll go to My Profile and find the tab for My Q&A then My Questions. I'll open my own question then scroll through the answers. When I decide which one I like best I choose Select As Best Answer. My criteria for best answer is whether it was informative, or just plain funny. I hope that helps you.

Technically there is a button next to each answer that says "best answer" or something to that effect.

As far as figuring out which is best, that is up to you and depends on what the question was. For example, if you asked how to get a stain out, then you'd choose the one that actually helped.

Click on your name. Click on the tab in your profile that says "my questions". Click on your question. Pick a best answer (either the most accurate, most thumbs up, most detailed, or just something you like). It will not let you select it unless you leave a comment and rate it.

you have to wait at least a day then itll give you the option to choose the best answer. then yuo choose then they get the answer then you rate the answer and you can comment it
