Probably for the same reason that you don't hear Americans being thankful for the things America has given them. Just because they're American and haven't had to suffer they don't realize how good they have it. Most immigrants I know (illegal and legal) are very grateful to leave their countries and the religious and political persecutions there. They just don't voice these opinions without being asked.

This is not the first time a question has been repeated on here and it certainly won't be the last.

Can any of you that are complaining honestly say you have never seen questions repeated before on this forum?? And if it's someone from YOUR side of the camp, did you complain about THEIR question to them?? If so, send a link showing your complaint.

Otherwise, if you don't like the question, don't answer. If you think they violated guidelines, report them. But don't "whine" about the question. I have seen literally HUNDREDS of questions repeated on here. Some 4 or 5 times in a day by the same person.

Adan.

The statement you used "The mere fact they they do not want to leave is because they like being here."

A more accurate statement is The mere fact that they REFUSE TO LEAVE in violation of our immigration laws is because they WANT TO CONTINUE LEECHING OFF OUR ECONOMY AND SERVICES. It's blatantly obvious you tried to soften the meaning and impact of what they are actually doing.

You also mention "being careful giving them negative labels". They are illegal aliens that are in our country in violation of our immigration laws. There is NO WAY to make that into a "positive label".

As far as "looking at their personal stories"....you can look at ANY criminal's personal story and find a reason to sympathize with them. But it doesn't make what they did any less of a crime or any more legal. At the end of the day they are STILL illegal aliens. And all the sob stories in the world is NOT going to change that fact.

Because they are not thankful and they want more. I believe we need to prosecute the illegals to the fullest extent of the law -- no exceptions. Additionally, I believe we need to prosecute those who hire, harbor and help them and I believe that their children should also be prosecuted for harboring them. Their children (born to illegal immigrants) should have their citizenship revoked under the fact that lawbreakers cannot validate their actions or make them legal by having children. That was NEVER the intent of the immigration reform law (to make children born to illegal immigrants, citizens) and I believe that part of the law should be amended to state that children born to law-abiding immigrants or to immigrants who are here legally may become citizens on their 21st birthday by proving their parent's legal status and taking an oath to forsake all other countries and be loyal to the USA and the USA only.
Lawbreakers are not thankful, their invaders and have no respect for anyone. In lieu of prosecuting all illegals, I think all U.S. Citizens should go on strike and work "off the books". If we all did that, think how fast Congress would enforce the laws and bring home the national guard.

Don't get me wrong with what I am about to say but I feel that every American should be thankful for all the things America has given them. I see so many damn "Proud to be American" bumper stickers and it pathetic be thankful. Be thankful that your ancestors had the balls and gumption to leave their homelands and come start a new life in a new land. That's the thing change ourselves and then let that reflect onto others and hope to god they learn that's all you can do.

If they are grateful like some here have said, then why is it the mexican flag that is being sent up on school flag poles, post offices and other places, businesses taking peso's, they want to be grateful for education? Then why are they forcing classes to speak spanish and dont speak the language of our country, how is that grateful? They want the US to be mexico, and yes I am saying mexicans in my case here cause you dont see canadians BREAKING THE LAW and sneaking in by the millions? One more thing, they all talk about how great mexico is, then why leave?

I know there are other's here besides mexicans that are illegal, but they are a small number. They also say we should be grateful for them being here doing the jobs we dont wanna do? Werent we doing them before? Grateful?

Nobody said they are "holier than thou" or are "better or me or deserving than anybody. But your statement that they are only coming here to have a decent life...is WRONG...they are BREAKING OUR IMMIGRATION LAWS DOING SO. Lots of criminals in prison broke the law so they can "have a decent life"...that's no excuse for breaking the law.

Shame on YOU terpischore!! If you want to defend anyone, why don't you defend the MILLIONS of LEGAL immigrants patiently waiting to enter our country that these illegal aliens CUT IN FRONT OF!!!! Their families have a right to eat too. Are you insinuating that illegal aliens are more important than they are??

It gets me how you pro-illegals hearts will defend illegal aliens to the death but you NEVER hear of you taking up for American citizens or legal immigrants on here.

American citizens have the RIGHT to insist that our government enforce our borders, whether YOU like it or not!!

All countries have the right to immigration laws. All countries have the right to enforce them. As does the country in this link.

American citizens don't look at them as "guests". They weren't "given" things, they TOOK them. They spit on our laws, our country, and its citizens.

They don't CARE that American citizens want them out of our country. They say they are here, they are here to stay, and they aren't going ANYWHERE, and there's NOTHING we can do about it.

They are deported and they come back. Comparison to leeches or parasites come to mind.

Unwanted pests.

They aren't "thankful" for anything they receive in America because they STOLE it. They STOLE their residency in our country. They STOLE any benefit they get here. They cut in line in front of millions of LEGAL immigrants. Period.

Most Latinos (I say most because I f i say all i will be putting them in a category where I can easily justify what i want to say.) are thankful for the opportunities they find here because they Can provide for their families, the can afford and, or, provide their children with education. The mere fact they they do not want to leave is because they like being here.
I think we should be careful giving them negative labels. Invaders is a violent word used mostly in terms of war. By using that word people can justify violence done upon immigrants.
I recommend anyone who find difficult to accept them, to look at their personal stories. Once we look at people as humans with a history and a people who care for them and people they care about our impression of them changes a little. Otherwise we would be taking a unilateral stance that is not beneficial for anybody. this can only be done at the personal level.

Maybe you don't hear them being thankful because you don't actually know any personally.
Anyway, who do you think you are with your holier-than-thou attitude that you are better or deserving than people who are coming here just so that they can have a decent life, that their families can eat. Shame on you.

You're not going to like this answer, and I expect a lot of thumbs down for it, but you don't hear it because you don't actually talk to many on a personal level. Most of the people who've immigrated here from other places (that I've met anyway) are extremely grateful for the opportunities they've been provided. If they weren't they'd leave. Most of the people that you're arguing with online are just internet trolls. You can't really know how someone feels until you've looked them in the eye and asked.
