I'm sorry but Lady Marmelade has no patent on this sentence -
This sentence is one of the more stupid stereotypicized empty sentence running around the world for centuries, without any real existence - who invented this ? nobody knows -

Just like "69" - which is of course so typically french or "comme ci comme ça "- there was a time when that bunch of sentence, flourished on US forums, each time I was identified as a french - so poor ...

let me tell you dude - this sentence is the best proof of men's ignorance of how women work in our wide world - this is precisely the last thing that you should tell a woman, unless you're a passionate looser - Amen

Looks like you are hoping to sleep on the sofa !!...ha! ha! ha!
Come on...everybody knows the famous song : voulez vous coucher avec moi ce soir . from Lady marmelade ..

Don't be so naive and if you like your girlfriend ..why don't you answer :
1- j'attends ça depuis si longtemps ( I've waited that for so long..)
2- I'm going to make you so happy...ha ha ha
3- Chérie, j'arrive ( honey..i'm on my way )

I think your girlfriend is referring to a song by that name, translated into English it means "Do you want to sleep with me tonight". This song was very popular in the 60s, sung by Jane Birkin (she still sings) and Serge Gainsborough (a Frenchman, who recently died, they married and have a daughter together). Jane almost whispered when singing this song, it sounded very sexy! (What will you answer your girlfriend, oui or no?)

On the contrary - it means your luck is in:

It's French for "Do you want to sleep with me tonight?"

Actually, it's a line from the song "Lady Marmelade", and I often wondered if the various artistes who performed it actually knew what that line was all about.
