you ever hear the saying having a sharp tongue? I understand what that means cause I got one.. the reference of a two edge sword... truth is a double edge sword... the bible is written using this principle... having to look at it two ways to be understood while the religious only see it on the side that benefits it and not what condemns it.. and "his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength." meaning his effect on earth will be equal to that of the sun itself... and to help with further interpretation think of it as in terms of condemning religion.... and perhaps then some truth will be understood... other wise it runs people in circles..

In Ephesians we are told to wear the suit of Gods armor

Ephesians 6:17
Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

If you read about the suit of armor you will see we are to wear the readiness of peace from the gospel, on our feet.

I say this so no one interprets that we are suppose to talk in an ill tongue, to speak out of the word of God.

That means His words will cut like a two edged sword..Maybe you could use a more modern translation and leave off the KJV until you get a better understanding..Or use a study guide.

Don't you know that most of the imagery in Revelation is symbolic? The sword coming out of His mouth is the Word of God (Scripture). It is described as a "double-edged sword".

Umm....I don't think they meant that literally maybe they meant the words that will come out his mouth. Since the Bible says his word is sharper than a two edge sword. However it makes me shudder!
