As a therapist, I think there are many possible reasons to your dream. Some people take dreams literally - meaning it is what it is. Others interpret it in symbol form - what does an object really mean. They have books that list different meanings to different symbols (like snakes, fire, falling), but I think you cannot separate the symbol from the person. A snake to me might be differnt for you because you have your own history, your own life experience.

That being said I would try to think about what you might not be wanting to deal with in life. Literally, are you running from something (or someone or issue) and feel like you are getting no where? Maybe the foot being stuck is symbolic of needing to or having to make changes that you do not want to make and so one foot is still stuck in the place where you started. Maybe it is that the stuck foot represents a feeling of powelessness, hopelessnes to do something about it.

Try to note when you have this dream. Does it coincide with something that happened that day? Try to put yourself in EACH ASPECT of the dream - meaning, be the stuck foot. What would you say to yourself as the stuck foot? I know, sounds strange, but some theories suggest we are all aspects of our dream and finding out which part of us it is can help us understand.

No matter how hard you try, your problems will always be chasing you, and will always catch up to you, until you turn around and face them...........When your foot gets stuck, it means you are feeling powerless to deal with a situation, and also why you are running away from it in the first place, the one who is chasing you represents an issue you have to deal with........If you can determine what the issue is that is being presented to you, and resolve it, the dream will stop.

Desperate, you are most likely dreaming about running because you have thought about it, probably yesterday sometime. It sounds like you may even be a jogger who considers herself slower than most people. The foot may be do to an injury you have had or anticipate. According to Freud, we dream about those things that we have been thinking about most recently. So, try this experiment: whenever you have a dream see if you can trace it back to something you were thinking about the previous day. I have tried this and have always been able to do that.=) p.s. try not to let it bother you. Dreams are a way of the mind's refreshing itself.

This dream is telling you that you lack confidence. You need to start running 4-5 days a week, this will increase your confidence.

Do you feel like you'll never get to where you want to be like you lack what it takes? It could be a confidence issue.
