What happens if I bake pumpkin pie in a graham ready crust instead of unbaked crust? Does it work? Just bought wrong crust.

i baked a pie using the graham crust too, but it's still the same....i got it baked this morning and it's good....just don't burn it....i baked it on 425 for 15 minutes and then turn the oven down to 350 for 35 minutes and it's gooooood

Pumpkin pie usually goes in a pastry crust and not a graham cracker crust, so unless you're making pumpkin cheesecake i don't think it would turn out right.

I don't think a graham cracker crust would stand up to the heat and time it takes to bake a pumkin pie. Moisture would also be a problem.

No, the crust would absorb to much of the liquid, so I don't think I would. You could take it bake and get a pastry crust.

the crust will be burned long before the filling is done. Just make your own crust with flour, shortening, salt and water. There are recipes for that everywhere

Just don't use all the filling. You could bake the extra in a buttered casserole, it makes a tasty pudding.
