This sounds like the Prophecies of St. Malachi.

The Catholic Church has not declared the Prophecies of St. Malachi as divinely inspired.

Some modern scholars even think they are a forgery.

The 6th Age ended 1960, and the 7th Age began 1960.

Starting from 1960, count the number of Popes there has been.

Starting from 1960, count the number of U.S. Presidents there has been.

Now read revelation 17:9-13

Now who is making such a claim? I would be happy if the age of popes ended but the RC Church is a huge organization and does not seem to be about to collapse anytime soon.
What I want to know is why people perpetually terrorize themselves with tales of the Apocalypse

One can only hope.

I would prefer a pope at the end of a rope. They are all criminals that cause millions to suffer everyday all over the world and all for the belief in a magical being that their church made up in order to save the Roman Empire from itself and it's people.

I really wish there would be a rapture and all of those annoying christians would be sucked up into space. I would start turning the churches into topless bars. Then I would have a reason to go to church that made sense!

isn't the one after Pope Benedict XVI supposed to be a John Paul II impersonator or something like that?

I guess we'll see when the next one comes along.

Then society wakes up and see that god is not real. Then a bunch of revolutionaries go around blowing up churches. They will be in viking ships. It shall be called Naglfar and made of human nails.

That is private revelation, and not revealed by the Church through scripture, history and tradition.

Just focus on being a good Christian and obtaining heaven, that is what is necessary and what the church teaches.

Anyone who says yes is only speculating based on what they have read or heard not a certainty.
