I used to love reading when I was a child: Comic books, fiction, all types of magazines (news, science, etc.), history (world war II for example).

Oh yeah! My grandma taught me to read around age four...I liked everything but my favorites were the the "I can read" series (The Fire Cat, Danny and the Dinosaur, etc...) and anything about horses (Justin Morgan had a Horse, Black Beauty, the Black Stallion series). ...and I loved Highlights magazine (doctor's office)!

When I got a little older, I liked mysteries like Encyclopedia Brown and Nancy Drew (and still anything about horses).

A couple of years ago, I lucked out and found a HUGE pile of old "I can read" books at a garage sale so my son can read some of the books I loved so much as a child.

Yes and I still do. As a child my favorite books were by Laura Ingalls Wilder and Judy Blume. Now, as an adult, I will read anything except in the western genre but have a tendency to read more non-fiction - history, politics, sociology, psychology, astronomy and other science disciplines.

When I was a child I loved reading. I started young reading Goosebumps and Animorphs (I think those are the names). Then I started reading J.R.R. Tolkein and Peirce Anthony. Now I read Dean Koontz, Stephen King, etc. Reading is such a wonderful thing.

I LOVED to read. My youngest brother told my mom - "one of these days she's going to come out of her room an old lady"

I read Trixie Belden, westerns, L.M.Montgomery, all the classics, Tarzan.... when I was in my 20's I even read alot of the Star Wars books.
Now my favourites are Bodie & Brock Thoene historical fiction. They are the most amazing books.

You have a wonderful week too.
blessings :)

Definately! Loved to read as a kid, still love to read as an adult. I remember when I was young, I had a partial bath in my room with a sliding door. I'd hide in there when I was supposed to be in bed so I could read. Unfortunately, it's not genetic, because my oldest daughter would rather join boot camp than read a book

No, reading was a struggle for me as a child and all through school.
I do remember in fourth grade, I bought my first book. Charlotte's Web, and I did read the whole book.
I love to read now and am also a literacy tutor for children and adults who need remedial work.

How about you, Moon? ; D

I averaged 5 book a week, mostly sport, and adventure.

I would stop by the library on the way home from school and pick up 5 book, the limit I was allowed at one time. and then get another 5 when I had finished them.

What a question...
Well all books that I cold lay my hands on except porno..
finished almost all the mythology books, classics, all westerns, most eastern and western poetry books, all westerns,sci-fi, fiction, mystery and spy books, all the comics and fairy tales from around the globe and many many more.
The librarian at the two libraries, would ask me about the books, rather than see themselves...
but now this Internet has spoiled my taste... I waste lot of time on it!
