I feel sorry for all those people out there who are allergic to peanuts and so then are allergic to peanut butter. They have no idea what they are missing. It is so sad, but more for me

My brother was /is a long distance runner and when he was in high school and college he ran track. Before his meets he ate a sandwich made of white bread, marshmallow fluff, bananas and peanut butter. He swore by it. It must of worked he was state champion all four years in High school and 4 year track scholarship to college. It was all about the peanut butter.

Ever wonder if peanut butter tastes the same to someone else as it does to you?

It is a staple in my house. I eat a 32 oz jar a week. I have found that a thin layer can really make a dull sandwich much better. I eat it on roast beef and chicken sandwiches. Make tons of PB cookies. A PB and dill pickle sandwich may sound strange, but tastes really good. May be an "opposite texture" thing.

Elvis Presley's Grilled Peanut Butter
and Banana Sandwich
2 slices of white bread
2 tablespoons of smooth peanut butter
1 small ripe banana mashed
2 tablespoons butter
Spread the peanut butter on one slice of bread and the mashed banana on the other. Press the slices gently together. Melt the butter (or to be truly Elvis-like, melt bacon fat!), over low heat in a small frying pan. Place the sandwich in the pan and fry until golden brown on both sides. Eat it with a glass of buttermilk.
Please note: Elvis tended to eat 12-15 sandwiches a sitting! So belly up!
Fluffernutters - A gooey, sticky combination of peanut butter and marshmallow that has been a source of controversy this year, but is a firm favorite with anyone who likes marshmallow.
Peanut butter, banana and honey - Also known as a PBH,
Peanut butter and bacon - The variant on this is peanut butter and baloney. People will put bacon on anything.
Fried peanut butter and banana - Often said to be Elvis's favorite, though he was known to eat peanut butter and cheese and the aforementioned peanut butter and bacon, too.
Milk Chocolate-Peanut Butter Sandwich Cookies
Servings: Makes about 2 1/2 dozen sandwich cookies.
Be sure to use regular peanut butter — NOT old-fashioned or freshly ground — for the best consistency in the cookie batter and the filling.
Ingredients:
Cookies 1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon coarse kosher salt
1/2 cup plus 1/3 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup plus 1 tablespoon (packed) dark brown sugar
6 tablespoons (3/4 stick) unsalted butter, room temperature
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 large egg
1 1/3 cups (about 8 ounces) milk chocolate chips
Filling
3 ounces high-quality milk chocolate (such as Lindt or Perugina), chopped
1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
2 tablespoons powdered sugar
1/4 teaspoon coarse kosher salt
6 tablespoons whipping cream
Preparation:
For cookies:
Preheat oven to 350°F. Whisk first 4 ingredients in medium bowl. Using electric mixer, beat powdered sugar, dark brown sugar, and butter in large bowl to blend.
Add peanut butter; beat until creamy. Gradually beat in vegetable oil and vanilla extract, then egg. Add dry ingredients; mix just until blended. Stir in milk chocolate chips.
Drop cookie dough by level tablespoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing about 1 1/2 inches apart. Bake cookies until puffed and golden brown, about 12 minutes. Cool slightly, then transfer cookies to rack to cool completely.
For filling:
Place chocolate, peanut butter, powdered sugar, and kosher salt in medium bowl. Bring whipping cream to boil in heavy small saucepan. Pour hot cream over chocolate mixture; stir until mixture is melted and smooth. Chill until filling is thick and spreadable, about 1 hour.
Spread about 1 rounded teaspoonful chocolate-peanut butter filling on flat side of 1 cookie. Top with second cookie, forming sandwich. Repeat with remaining filling and cookies. (Cookie sandwiches can be made 1 day ahead. Store in airtight container at room temperature.)
Reeses Peanut Butter Cups etc.
hope these help. enjoy.
