He was given the Medal of Freedom. As you know, the Dalai Lama does not engage in sex, drugs, alcohol, or tobacco. Which raises the question, what was Congress honoring him for? This goes against everything Congress represents."

What do you think?

Congress represents sex, drugs, alcohol and tobacco? I mean, I get the alcohol and tobacco part - they certainly represent those - and drugs too, as long as they come from a pharmacy. I wouldn't say they "represent" sex, though; it's just that we keep busting Republicans trying to pick up men in public restrooms.

lol....You are so right, it does apply to Most Congressmen but fortunately not all. I think the Dalai Lama was simply being used to convey a message Peace to China and the rest of the World.

He was honored for his peaceful efforts.

Are you suggesting that congress only honors those that engage in sex, drugs, alcohol and tobacco? *giggle* I don't comprehend the correlation to his lifestyle and his political honors.
