Apostolic Constitutions Book I Sec II (from Syria, circa 250 AD)

That beauty which God and nature has bestowed on thee, do not further beautify… It is not lawful for thee, a believer and a man of God, to permit the hair of thy head to grow long, and to brush it up together, nor to suffer it to spread abroad, nor to puff it up, nor by nice combing and platting to make it curl and shine; since that is contrary to the law, which says thus, in its additional precepts: “You shall not make to yourselves curls and round rasures.” Nor may men destroy the hair of their beards, and unnaturally change the form of a man. For the law says: “Ye shall not mar your beards.” For God the Creator has made this decent for women, but has determined that it is unsuitable for men. But if thou do these things to please men, in contradiction to the law, thou wilt be abominable with God, who created thee after His own image.

So true. Can't see "10" in front of "commandments" in the Matthew quote. Don't see how so many Christians can.

...There was a time that strange beard rites were practiced… Old Testament Mosaic rites/ordinances ! But we are no longer under the Old Testament covenant=agreement.. Those rituals are no longer under effect today ! The Old Testament ordinances went to the cross !
Eph. 2:15 Having “abolished” in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments (not speaking of the ten but “those In ordinances”) ("same as commands in ordinances”;) for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; ….Eugene

Yes, there are plenty of beardless Christians out there. The Bible is just stating that Christians don't need to go around looking like freaks.

Jesus came to fulfill the law not destroy it. The problem is is that we shouldn't look to Leveticus for our laws now since those were the laws of the time of moses. We should look to 2nd Timothy where it says that we should dress morally, and a woman with unbridled hair, or a man with short hair. basically crossdressing is still a sin, but The rules have changed since the new testament.

Sir, the answer you will get from the Christians is that Jezus fulfilled the laws, this is not true........

Jam 2:8 If YOU FULFILL the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself, ye do well:
(what??? I though jezus did it for you!!)

That is not even one of the 10 commandments, go figure!!

Jam 2:9 But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.

Jam 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one [point], he is guilty of all.

True Yahshua Messiah fulfilled the laws perfectly, and if you believe in him, then you are obligated to walk exactly as did by keeping, teaching, preaching, and fulfilling the 613 Laws of Yahweh.

We are no longer bound to the law of the old testament, Jesus freed us from the law. So yes shave a lightning bolt into your beard if you want.
