We recently got married and when the groomsmen decorated our vehicle they put shoe polish on our black fender wells and we can't get it off! We've tried WD-40, high pressure wash, & scrubbing.

We just got married this weekend so it's only be 2 days now. I'll have to try the Magic Eraser. THANKS

It isn't on the paint but on the black fender wells that goes over the truck tires and front bumper. My friend owns a body shop and he is the one who suggested the WD 40 and said that he would have to probably replace them if that didn't work. It's about $2000 worth of damage.

Holy Crap! Did they put shoe polish on the paint?? You can't get shoe polish off without stripping the paint, as far as I know. Take your vehicle to a paint and body shop and ask a professional for advice. Maybe there's a super-duper industrial-strength solvent that can remove shoe polish....? If no such magic substance exists, I don't think it would be rude to ask the groomsmen to contribute to the expenses of repainting your car.

I agree with the first poster. Shoe polish ruins paint permanently. How long ago did you "recently" get married b/c if its been left on there for 3 weeks, it's gonna require repainting.

Try to take it to a repair shop and see if it can be buffed off.

Shoe polish is only supposed to be used on glass. You are going to have to get your car re-painted if they put it on the fenders!

Try the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser ~ that thing works wonders! It's an usual texture that gets EVERYTHING clean. Even ink & sharpie marks off of upholstery & wood!
