1) conquer all nations and force them to submit to Jesus or die? Those who die don't deserve Christianity anyways (other faiths, for example)

2) send missionaries out to all ends of the earth, armed with bibles, food, medicine and shelter...but nobody gets food, meds, or shelter unless they accept JC.

3) practice your own Christianity, be happy, and let others come to their own understanding about Jesus. You'll tell them if they ask, but you won't shove it down anyone's throat.

4) none of the above. To each his own. People can believe in whatever they want to believe.

I don't think Jesus would approve of method 1 or 2. They've both been tried...and, amazingly enough, they don't work.
Method 3 probably won't win huge multitudes of converts at a sweep...but then, those who do come to an understanding of Jesus by seeing Christianity lived in the Christian, will be true converts, not converts by force or by coercion.
Method 4 is really not acceptable to a Christian who honestly believes what Jesus said...that He is the only Way to the Father. If we truly love others as He loves us, we will not want to leave them groping in the dark...unfortunately, being human, we more often than not "blow it" by being too insistent, or by coming off as sanctimonious, when we are honestly just trying to help.

All in all, I think Jesus' preferred method would be #3.

1) The Muslims are already doing that, so that idea is taken (not that we would use it any way, the method goes against our religion)
2)No missionary withholds food, medicine, or shelter from those that do not accept Christ. It is because they give to all, regardless of whether they accept that cause many to come to the faith.
3)Most Christians I know already do this. If we were shoving it down people's throats, they way you suggest we are, then why aren't we all standing on street corners wearing signs and passing out tracts, or calling people randomly from the phone book to share our faith, or going door to door daily to be sure you have had your daily dose of an opportunity to accept Christ? Could you please expand on exactly how we shove our beliefs down your throat?
4)We use this approach to or we would be doing the things listed above.

Personally, I choose option 5...live our lives so that people have to stop and ask what is different in our lives that we are always happy and joyous, even through the toughest of times, that we are always kind and caring and giving to those in need, that we are slow to anger and quick to show compassion, that we are forgiving to those that have wronged us.....when they ask, then we share!

4 will we never see.

3 would be nice.

2 already happens and frankly, disgusts me. Bribing a starving child with Jesus for food is worse than our Govt giving guns for food.

1 - Christianity has allegedly grown out of that about 600 years ago.

1.That's not right.God gave us free will.He never gave Christians authority to judge others.

2.Yes to the first half.No to the second. We are suppose to help everyone, even non-believers.It is not up to us to judge and punish anyone, from witholding help we are able to give. That does not show real Christian Godly love.

3.Sounds pretty good.Lead by example.Pray for others to come to the understanding of Christ's love for everyone.Answer questions loveingly and non-judgementally.
God gave us free will to choose to listen to him or not.Give others knowlege of Christ so that they can make the decision for themselves. It is not our place to condemn others.

4.God gave us all free will.It is up to us what we do with it.
People will believe what they want to believe. That is thier right.

The best way is not our way.It is how God leads each individual.Always pray for guidance and the holy spirit will reach in to where human methods may fail.God Bless.

Since 1 & 2 already has and does happen, and they both suck, #3 would be nice, but I'll pick #4, even though it will never happen. Religous people just can't keep well enough alone.

The best way to spread it is to not spread it. If it is sound doctrine, it will take root on it own.

The two ladies below are precisely right. I have heard it said, "Evangelize your faith at every opportunity. Use words only if necessary."
