The bible, koran and all those other books are just rule books created by "man" for other people to follow.God is "words" if man didnt learn to write then there wouldnt be a bible.we would still be monkeys swinging in the trees only thinking of how to survive.A tiger kills a monkey.Does that mean the tiger has "sined" ? I really think you should all stop wasting your time believing in a best selling novel created n 1000 bc or whenever the best selling writer made the book.

Then really what is your point in coming here? It is NOT Christians doing these things it is the unbelievers.

This will make you think for a while.
At a certain college there was a professor with a reputation for being tough on Christians. At the first class, every semester, he asked if anyone was a Christian and proceeded to degrade them and to mock their statement of faith. One semester, he asked the question and a young man raised his hand.

The professor asked, "Did God make everything young man?"
He replied "Yes sir he did!" The professor responded,! "IF God made everything, then he made evil"

The student didn't have a response and the professor was happy to once again prove the Christian faith to be a myth.

Then another man raised his hand and asked, "May I ask you something, sir?""Yes, you may," responded the professor.

The young man stood up and said, "Sir, is there such a thing as cold?" Of course there is, what kind of a question is that? Haven't you ever been cold?"

The young man replied, "Actually, sir, cold doesn't exist. What we consider to be cold, is really an absence of heat. Absolute zero is when there is absolutely no heat, but cold does not really exist. We have only created that term to describe how we feel when heat is not there."

The young man continued, Sir, is there such a thing as dark?" Once again the professor responded, "Of course there is."And once again, the student replied, "Actually, sir, darkness does not exist. Darkness is really only the absence of light. Darkness is only a term developed to describe what happens when there is no light present."

Finally, the young man asked, "Sir, is there such a thing as evil?"The professor responded, "Of course, we have rapes, murders and violence everywhere in the world, Those things are evil.
"
The student replied, "Actually, sir, evil does not exist. Evil is simply the absence of God. Evil is a term developed to describe the absence of God. God did not create evil. It isn't like truth, or love which exist as virtues like heat or light. Evil is simply the state where God is not present, like cold without heat, or darkness without light."

The professor had nothing to say................
Be full of Christ today, there is no room for anything else . .

Peace & God bless from Texas. <><

Some people are able to believe in a God who sits watching us "from a distance" as the song says. Some believe he interferes in their lives anytime something good happens but refuse to blame him when something bad does. Some people say when something bad happens, he gives you the strength to endure. So it really depends on what particular bent you have whether a tragedy causes you to disbelieve or not. Not is just as acceptable as any of the other alternatives.

Okay, let me get this straight. Some sicko maniac stabs a girl who is too pretty and bright and somehow God did it?????
How in the world did you make that leap??
If the girl were 250 lbs and going to a trade school would you have blamed it on God or is it only God's fault when the pretty are tragically killed??

God doesn't reach down to earth and use a scramble stick to make people kill each other.

Sin is born into every single human being. It is the choice of the human being how to handle the urges sin causes.

I don't blame you. I really don't. Seeing and hearing about atrocities like that would turn anyone from reason, much less faith. However, don't forsake God just because we make human mistakes. Yes, I say human, not godly. Honey, we all fall short, we all make mistakes, and yes, we do some truly dreadful things, but if we count on divine intervention to step up and stop us, would this life really be worth living. It's about choice, and the God who loved us enough to give us that choice. Just don't let the anger overtake your life, but you don't have to believe in God right now.

Alan, I believe in God because almost that exact thing happened to me. I was stabbed by my husband twelve times, and as I was dying, I felt a hand touch me on the back of my head and I was filled with peace. I was saved from death by an angel from God.

God doesn't cause such things to happen. God NEVER causes evil. The person who did that to that woman was an evil person, and he is responsible for his own sin.

I'm truly sorry that something so horrible has caused you to reject God. It would be better for you to reject the evil one who is actually responsible for that person's act and for the death of that young woman.

Free will is the answer!!!! God gave us Free will so we could choose what we did in life. So we could choose good or evil. So it down to that mans choice to stab that 'lass'. But then why did God create freewill you might ask. Well God wanted us to love him like He loves us!!!! 9Very important that) And he realised he couldnt force us to love him. So by creating the choice to do wrong things that go against God and by doing good things that show we love God, it allows God to truly see that people love him!!!

I hope that helps

Yes, God does exist. No, God did not cause this to happen. Yes, God could have prevented it if any one that had faith in Him had asked Him too. Sin is a terrible thing and is what cause bad things like this, but everyone is so busy blaming God that they forget to look at the nature of evil found in sin.

i dont think God did the killing....we all have free will apparently that's the get out clause used by religion to answer this question...well that and Satan.

Man is the greatest evil ever known... but also the greatest good you will ever see.

I agree, I find it very difficult to believe in a God when so many bad things happen. Either there isn't a god or he isn't very nice. Also, there are so many religions and they can't all be right so that just compunds things for me.

I an an atheist, and I share your sentiments, but logically, your argument only precludes a loving, caring god. Having read the bible carefully, many times, it is clear the bible god is vicious, petty, bloodthirsty and ignorant.
Thank goodness there is no evidence he actually exists!
