so heres the problem, our parents, my mom and his dad married about a year ago. We now go to the same school and I spend most my time around him. I think he's an amazing guy, he's funny and smart and exactly my type. Part of me thinks he may like me by the way he treats me and acts around me. But are these feelings okay? I mean, he's my stepbrother. We're not blood related though so my guess is that its not completely wrong to like him. I just dont think my mom and his dad would go for it, or what our younger sisters might think. What do you think? I'd really like if I had some help.

Probably not something you should pursue if either or both of you still live in your parents house. once you are both out of the house, it's fair game....

I think you should consider the long-term effects of choosing to engage your stepbrother in a romantic way. If something doesn't happen to work out or one of you ends up getting emotionally hurt, it will be difficult to be around each other at family functions such as Thanksgiving or Christmas. Though it may seem like somewhat of a good idea now, imagine if you felt awkward about coming home and visiting your family in the future because you know he might be there. Your current non-romantic relationship with your stepbrother has the potential to last for years now, I wouldn't ruin it by trying to become romantically involved with him.

Having feelings for him is normal, especially since you spend so much time together, your alike, and your not really brother and sister. Another thing might be the fact that you can't really date him that's making you want to date him more.

It's a very touchy subject, best thing to do is talk to your mom about it. She is probably going to say the same thing I said above. I wouldn't suggest telling anyone else. Your also not sure of what he thinks.

I'm guessing it's just a phase and you'll get through it, just hang tight.

Luck!!
