Hon, i am sure that you are slightly affected by this, but what your dad does is NO reflection on you. He makes his own choices... you have nothing to do with them, and no control over what he does, either.

Being depressed over something another person does to HIMSELF doesn't make sense. You are putting this problem on yourself, when you don't have to... and why are you?

It's YOUR DAD"S problem, not yours. Remember that, and take care of YOU. You're not.

Your dad may be in a big trouble.

You did not say the nature of the "Business".

1. He must abide by zoning law if any, he can end up in jail.
2. Permits may be needed.

There are so many things need covering, so that he cannot get in to trouble with the law.

Have him see a good lawyer, and see what the lawyer says. Your father may be right or wrong. Work out a compromise with the relatives, with lawyer's help, if your father is right.

Your dad is making some choices that you may not agree with, but that is not necessarily your problem. Be supportive of your family, even when you don't agree with them and just do your part to help out in the household if he is struggling with his new business. You can't let this bother you to the point of being depressed, do something you enjoy to try and keep yourself busy and like I said just help out where you can.

I agree with norm. Try not to think about the problem. You worrying is not going to make a difference. Find a good set of friends but stay away from alcohol and drugs and people who use these.

Sorry, what you are asking isn't clear. Tell us what the business is and how it is affecting others.
