No, by definition of atheist, beleif in the paranormal is concerned, but usually atheism comes from a form of critical thinking that also rejects magic, ghosts, demon, anything supernatural

The only commonality between Atheists is that they don't believe in any deity. So some believe in ghosts, some don't. I do believe in ghosts.

some do. I've heard some explanations even that I consider possible...like close proximity to powerlines and the possible effect of the electromagnetic pulse on the human brain.

"Believe" is a strong word. But I've heard some compelling first-hand accounts from people whose credibility and judgment I respect. So I have to at least remain open to the idea.
