So I was scratching in my "butt crack" and I scratched too hard and cut it with my finger nail. Pretty gross huh. Well it was a little cut and barely bled so I put a band aid on it and it was fine. A day or two later I wake up and strain my neck. I have a pinched nerve and I can't move my neck without having extreme pain. Well now I'm sitting in weird straight positions right on my new cut making it much worse. So for four days I didn't shower or change my clothes and made the cut worse. My neck healed but now I have a bad cut in a really awkward place. I've been putting band aids on it with neosporin but it still hurts. The area around it on my butt is tender and it hurts to walk and I can't sit down. The cut bleeds or spews pus, it sort of just switchs on and off. Is my cut infected? What should I do? Go to the doctor? And if I do what will the doctor do exactly? I'm sure its not a tetanus thing because it was my fingernail that cut it. Help me please. Thanks.

check if their is pus coming out, if it is swollen, if it redder than it is supposed to be, or if their are red streaks coming from it. if it is, it is infected. If not, take a shower everyday and you will be fine. if not, they have to amputate your butt (lol.)

There are alot of germs around tha area that are okay as long as they stay in that area. And especially since you didn't bathe for 4 days, the chance of infection was so very high, it was bound to happen. I'd say if any cut ever spews puss at you again, you should go to a doctor right away or at least put neosporin on it. Just make an appointment or maybe go to a prompt care center. Yeah, it's embarrassing, being on your bottom and all, but it's better than the alternative. For doctors, once you've seen one butt, you're seen them all. Don't worry about it.

Go to the doc as it sounds infected. Not sure why you didn't shower etc for four days. The doc will culture the drainage and give you antibiotics or antibiotic oinment to clear up the infection. Also you should never go 4 days without washing up or changing clothes. If you needed help or needed a shower you should have talked to someone and gotten the help you need. For now go see a doctor.

You need to keep your body clean every day. It makes healing better and faster. You probably need to go to the doctor. He will look at it first and decide what it needs.
