Do you find yourself constantly seeking approval from the outside world? Do you create a persona that is different from the real you that you use in social situations? Are you always fishing for compliments? Why do you not love yourself enough to be content with your self approval. Do you know why you seek it from others?

None whatsoever at this stage of my life. I enjoy being a free spirit and riding my own wave.

Why people seek it is because they are not content with who they are nor do they know the abilities they possess or what they need out of life. Some don't know how to give, therefore they don't know how to receive, and as such are always confused and don't know what they want out of life and relationships.

Don't get me wrong everyone needs validation and and acknowledgement, and at some point we find what we need through friendships, through love and through family. People who contantly need that even though they have all they need, either really don't have what they need or simply don't really know themselves very well.

Some people when down on thier luck need validation too. This is when people need to help one another out and make others feel worthwhile. People don't need validation for leading silly and frivolous lives. It just encourages that nonsense. But then to each their own I guess.

100%. I seek to be communal and community- oriented. Others are important because the world is a lonely palce for a solitary Alpha male.

We are not suppose to seek approval from others.
Approval from God is what really matters.

I'm not an attention hog, but it annoys me when people don't like me for no good reason! \
I mean give me the benefit of the doubt, chances are I'm not a serial killer, have a sense of humor and am not out to ruin your life!

I am happy with myself and don't worry so much about what my peers think. But, I am loved, respected, and admired by the ones I love. The only thing that matters is that I am happy being me.

I could absolutely care less what others think about what I do, say or how I do and say it. Which is probably why I have so many violations and nasty emails from others here huh? (smile)
