Sometimes miracles are not tangible. My son getting into a home for the mentally handicapped was a miracle, because all the homes were full up. It has changed our lives so much, we can have full lives again. My son is happy and thriving. You sure are asking a lot of questions about religion for somebody who doesn't believe. Are you seeking the truth? No human can answer these questions for you, it a matter of faith, the same as what you believe scientists when they say the universe is infinite. Good luck to you.

It is scary to actually put your faith on the line. Jesus told his disciples to go forth performing miracles in his name.
Christians now days, have figured out that this doesn't work, so they have created a "that was then, this is now" doctrine that puts both God and them off the hook.
There are some that do believe in miracles and do attempt to perform them, however, for some reason, God can only heal people with hidden problems, like tummy aches and back problems, but when challenged with serious problems like, missing fingers or Alzheimer's his answer is mysteriously always NO.

If you knew of this story, you should also know that not even the disciples could not drive out the demon, but it was Christ who had to.
When the disciples asked why they couldn't, he said it's because they didn't have faith.
If even the disciples, who saw the things of Jesus first hand did not have faith to do it, then how can we, people 2000 years later, be able to do it?
-------------
Someone mentioned a that was then, this is now, doctrine? What? I believe in miracles, and I believe they're happening everyday. But are they miracles such as separating a sea, surviving inside of a whale, sending plagues on countries? No, not all miracles are major like this. Simply staying alive in a lions den is a miracle! (the story of Daniel in the lions den)

People do not necessarily have faith in comparable size to a mustard seed, or else they probably could do all the things you ask about. Maybe what you or I consider an incredible amount of faith and devotion is menial in the eyes of God.

Guess that passage was "not meant to be taken literally." Funny how that excuse comes up whenever the Bible is full of crap.
There are a few strong Bible passages claiming that prayers would always be answered. Of course now people say often times the answer is "No." Funny how that works eh? Its almost as if there is no God to answer prayers... seems like "miracles" occur at the same rate we would expect them to occur by chance.

They do happen but not as much as most christians would like. Many christians believe miracles have 'passed away', but this seems unbiblical to me, and is disproved by ministries that involve healings and other supernatural actions of God. Churches in comfortable countries tend to have weak believers, who don't develop their faith much, and so don't have much chance of seeing God move in the miraculous.

I got heeled once while playing soccer. It really hurt.
As for miracles - they are being performed every day. One simply has to know where to look and how to recognize them. Miracles can be a lot of things. They aren't simply limited to walking on water and turning water into wine.

Ahhhh, God performs the miracles. We just ask for them.
Now I have a question for you.. How many miracles do you need? Ten? One hundred? The ga-jillion that have already been done? How many?????? Miracles happen all around you and have from the beginning. STILL you don`t believe.. What miracle do you need from him?
Peace & God bless from Texas. <><

I think god's getting to old for that kind of stuff.
Back in the days of Moses that kind of stuff was easy and had no consequences. But now god can't even eat cheese without having to sit on the toilet for 3 hours every night.

their are Miricles, you just won't see them on the News, because it would validate the existance of God,and the media just won't have that, it proves the biased reporting that the news has.
as for the miricles, I have seen them myself, and know they exist.
The one testimony of this that sticks out in my mind is a testimony of a
man who had no legs. The report is that Wigglesworth told him to get
some shoes and then Wigglesworth prayed for him, and his legs and feet
grew into the shoes.
One other person to note is Rev. David Hathaway, who currently is a
minister with the Assemblies of God of Great Britain. He has been
holding healing crusades in Russia and the Ukraine. He has a magazine,
PROPHETIC VISION, that reports some very dramatic healings, and some
have been verified by doctors. His website is:
