im so tired of nascar's ways. i'm becoming less of a fan and i've been a fan for a long time.. i know hendricks is the dominant team, but everything seems to go there way. i miss the old points system regardless whos leading now..its starting to become less of an american sport and more of a foreign sport. (drivers and makes). i guess im just tired of the system... i miss davey allison, earnhardt, and the rest of the good ole boys.. i dont hate gordon, johnson, and the rest of hendricks but it seems like thats all who wins..and itsnot because of they're the best drivers, because stewart, little e, and whoever else are just as good, just not as good equipment..

I've written several articles on this very thing for some of the sites I contribute to. You have really hit the nail on the head, and if NASCAR doesn't take a hard look in its own back yard, the fans and money are going to be history. I know someone, who knew someone, who knew someone, you know how it goes...who use to work for Hend(p)rick. According to this source, Rick Hend(p)rick is almost mafia like in his business dealings. It makes you wonder who is cutting the big checks each week, doesn't it? The chase is a joke, no one really has to work hard all season as long as they're consistant. You would never know by the TV coverage that there are actually 43 drivers in the race, and not just two. Like you, I've been a fan for a long time, but doubt NASCAR's future.

Well theres the rub. it all comes around. Some years its the Rousch boys, some years it will be Gibbs, someday maybe even Evernham. Hendricks just got a head start with the COT. and like it or not Jeff and JJ are good drivers. Its not all about the car and its not all about the driver. I know thats going to stick on some of ya'll craw but thats just the way it is. No way any of those drivers are going to stick around while NASCAR hands JG 81 wins. It is NOT in thier best interest. Thier best interest would be 1-12 in the chase seperated by about 15 points and the winner not known until the checkered flags at Homestead.

P.S. Yeah, I hate the Chase too.

If Dale Earnhardt Sr. were still around, none of this would have happened. He was the only one left who had enough guts to stand up to NASCAR if he thought their idea was bad (which is most of their ideas). And, if Dale said no to an idea, NASCAR had to listen because Dale had that much influence. However, since Dale passed away no one stands up to NASCAR anymore. They may comment now and then on not agreeing it but they never do anything about it.

NASCAR is slowly destroying the very thing they built from the beginning. Some of the safety features i find necessary but all of the other stuff we could have lived without. Also, now the newer foreign drivers are coming in too easy. Back in the day they would have to fight for a spot on the track which the veterans were unwilling to give up. Now they are welcomed almost with open arms!

So congratulations NASCAR, thanks for ruining a perfectly good sport.

I know change is good. Racing is not racing anymore. Everytime you turn around Nascar has a new rule or changed the rule. COT cars maybe safer and thank goodness for the safety equipment, but if all the cars are the same, cookie cutter of each other then there is no "play" room. To many fines for this and that. The old system was better more exciting more like racing.

BORING isnt it??! Ive been a fan for a number of years now and man this has been the most boring season of all. All the green white checkered finishes, the boring COT bumper to bumper races where no one passes and teammates helping each other out on the track. Not to hate at all cause its obvious Jeff is one of the top three or so drivers but who wants to see one or two drivers dominate the whole season?? Sure its great if your a HMS fan but it sure makes for a boring season if yer not. Im also pissed that Mr. France and whoever else is trying to make nascar more global and driving away the good ol boys who used to attend races. I dont wanna go to my next race and rub elbows with someone clutching a miniature dog under one arm and a box of wine under the other being all hoity toity. Im tired of it too man and next year, im not wastin' my sundays.

The luster and excitement of the chase has faded after every single year that they have had it. Everyone loved it in 2004. The racing was exciting and the drama was intense. But as it has progressed it has become less and less exciting. Same old tracks. Nothing new. i think there should be a random draw to decide what tracks will be in the chase. Maybe the daytona 500? or the brickyard?...or a road course. Maybe a tire eating track like Darlington. The chase is made of boring cookie cutter tracks and that needs to be changed.

I don't understand what some of you people are wanting......

The chase was devised so that the championship wouldn't be decided with 5+ races to go. Now that they've leveled the playing field, there are still drivers dominating and some people just can't accept that. Let's face it folks, Johnson and Gordon have clearly separated themselves from the field this year. You can't tweak this system to make the championship hinge on the last lap of the Homestead race. Auto racing just doesn't always lend itself to that type of finish. You may have some years when it's close, and others where it's not.

Totally Agree with ya! It's been a Jeff and Jimmy show all season! It just gets old seeing the same ole same ole. And No it's Not because they are the Best drivers, you are so right! It's became such a bore! Just hope next season will be different.

Yes I miss it also. If it was good Enoughjj for My favorite Richard Petty and alot of peoples favorite Dale Sr. to win 7 titles a piece it never should have been changed. The other teams just need to try harder to catch up with Hendricks just like they used to try and Catch Up to Petty and Dale Sr.
