1. Implement "Equal Rights" for all citizens by removing the mess of "Quota and reservation"
2. Bring legislation for exemplary punishments (Including public hangings) for corrupt government officials and politicians.
3. Bring speedy justice to masses by improving on present judicial system
4. Bring "Two party" political System
5. Prevent brain drain and Invest in R&D
BUT FORGET IT, IT IS NEVER GOING TO HAPPENIN OUR LIFE TIME. I BET..........SO STOP DREAMING

India CAN become a developed country .
All Indians should work together and abolish poverty in India.
When poverty is abolished and basic education is given to all, half the job is over !!
Technological improvement will only do the remaining 50% of the work. India has really advanced and it is 100% true that all Multi-National companies from many parts of the world are trying to come into the Indian market. The process has to speed up.For Ex :-The Broadband Download limit has to be abolished totally. Many developed countries in the world do not have the concept of limiting the internet usage.Everyone should be trained in basics of technology.
Bribery cannot be abolished by us now but we can help the country by NOT TAKING BRIBES on any account. Today's youth will rule tomorrow's country.
Have a better India in mind . Let the common Indian Blood make us all work for a better India !!!
Jai Hind !!!

I hope the term "well developed" denotes "Economically Strong". I think, the main draw back India has is poverty. The poverty can be removed by way of offering job/work. No one should be allowed to be without a job. If everyone is engaged in some kind of job, then there is no question of major social problems like theft, robbery, begging, etc. etc. Like China, there should be Capital punishment for bribary in public places. This strong step has to be taken without any reluctance, otherwise, the problem of bribary is so deep in our country, cannot be removed from the system so easily. The assurances of Politicians given before election, should be officially recorded, monitored and if need be jailed if no action has been taken. Religion procession and religion speeches to be banned 100%. I think if we follow the above, the rest of the problems can be solved by the year 2020 hopefully.

I had given some taught to ur Bribary question
just as in the place of a regular boy
I do not know were you from
But in south India we have a saying that goes...
"thorns to be taken out of thorns"
& "Infernos to be extinguished by fires"
Hence I do not know, nor have I done any study
I would 'simply' say though your question is of greater value
Just as those sayings go practically well...
I believe that it would be possible to remove them
with the very same factor.
Let me shoot an image ="if 15 tax or 7 tax officials raided
a locality. If they were to be bribed. And presume if there was a rule that Tax officials have a right to claim only '12 lakhs or more' only.If bribary was resorted to or so to say...
Then I feel you can imagine that an induvidual would prefer paying his right Tax rather bribe the officials once and get over the bad face of time.

First of all, we have to destroy the bribary, then educated politicians must rule the country.....there should be strict rules for all the departments to follow......first, the higher officials should follow the rules then only others will follow. If, we would have destroyed the bribary long before our country would have been like the developed country now. So bribary plays a major and important role. We should bury this stupid thing.

India, a developed country in 2020 is not an easy task. India has to keep in check the Population, corruption and pollution and and will have to improve the infrastructure. It must also improve social structure and invest more on security. To quote China as an example is that they demolished an old building to construct a very big port to meet future demands, but India is still waiting for things to happen. India in the recent past has improved a lot in the foreign exchange reserves, outsourcing business and in exports too. The profits gained are to be spent for the development of the welfare of the country. Most of the foreign companies are ready to do business in India because of the individual prowess of manpower which will give fast, quality output in a short span. India’s vision for a brighter path will come true not only by mere words or speech, but extra effort needed at all levels to overcome the pitfalls. Practical session is a requisite rather than fruitless theoretical dialogues.

No matter how much developed we get we will always be behind the rest be it 2020 or 2100.
Corruption cannot be abolished. Lets face this reality. Corruption can be reduced by detterrence. We citizens are 50% responsible for it, because someone asks (50%), we pay (50%). This makes it 100% successful corruption. The only way to grow clean and get things moving is by implementing the rule of "Accountability". Top to Bottom !!! Each and every citizen no matter who, highest minister or babu or a small time sweeper needs to be made accountable for his job. He must be made to be answerable to the general public for any lapses in work or duty and penalised accordingly. Thus they get diligent in their work and quality improves. Eg. Even if a newly made road is re-dug, the contractor upto the corporator must be held accountable for poor planning and wasting public funds. -- How and Why. He must answer - no escape and no blame game.
Organization will come in automatically and those unworthy of the chair will gradually be replaced by worthy ones.
Citizens too must contribute and have sense of patriotism and brotherhood rather than being selfish. Always it is not the administration to blame. If there is some thing wrongly done do not take it lying down. Pull up the authorities and get it corrected. Involve yourself in the running of your local area governance and do not encourage bad practices. Extend your support to those who come forward to fight injustice and malpractice. Give up tolerance to the bad virtues and then you will surely see the change. Begin with refraining to bribe yourself and exposing the corrupt officials to the authorities and the people at large.
We need the enact a legislation on "Accountability" which has teeth and claws........

There is a two point solution to make India a well developed country by 2020.
1. Remove corruption from the system that runs the country (read: Remove corrupt politicians....) Get the educated youth of today to have a say in the governance of the country..after all....its their tomorrow. THe corrupt politicians of today will die tomorrow after ruinning the country. What about the future of the youth of today...
2. Make education a right of every child......but not based on caste or religion or minority / majority status..... Education should be merit based, or else we will have another generation of corrupt leaders who do not value education and hard work as things have always been handed over to them on a platter because of their caste, religion etc..

i personally feel eradicating poverty, bribary, decreasing population explosion andproviding minimal education to people rurally, decreasing the number of cases with dreadful diseases like AIDS which is 90% in the the control of the citizens will contribute to a major success for India to become a very well developed country ...but the question is HOW? bribary is one thing which we r all very aquainted with...if this goes the way ...the rich becomes richer ,the poor becomes poorer...we all talk about how bad bribary is doing to our country, but do any or to be specific most of us follow it??our time convenience and selfishness and a host of other reasons majorly contribute this.
the so called youth of the country who r very much interested to fly anytime to any country are also responsible.i agree they increase our country's income to some extent but if they really show a greater interest to their motherland ,inall the above mentioned factors ......i don't think the day is far where India can be the best.....
