your right! the Christians argue amongst themselves more than they do with others. The irony is that Catholicism, which is the basis of all Christianity, was deemed heretical in the 16C, thus Protestantism was born, but when someone else tries to point out that Protestantism is wrong, they are fools that will be damned to hell. They all have their own interpretations of the bible and they are all right, but they cannot be all right, so which Christian branch will go to hell.....they don't think of that do they

It's because we are all human. You can apply your question to a vast number of groups:
Muslims
Scientists
Democrats
Republicans
Socialists
Communists
liberals
conservatives
conservationists
You can pick ANY subject on Earth and you will find differing opinions, even among Atheists there are differences of opinion as to how to prove that God doesn't exist.
Just as lack of evidence does not prove lack of existence, lack of consensus does not necessarily equate to lack of Truth.
After all, if I stop being a Christian simply because all Christians don't agree on everything and because many Christians are hyprocrites and go against they're own beliefs, how could I possibly become an Atheist if many Atheists are hypocrites and go against Man's laws?
Please think of a better question or research the writings of Christopher Hitchens who is, in fact, a knowledgeable Atheist and presents sound arguments. I will stick with Aristotle and Thomas Aquinas who both used Observation and Science to prove God's Existence.
Edit: BEHONEST - As for the Catholic Church adding anything to the Bible... it was the Catholic Church that first compiled the Bible in the 4th Century at the Synod of Hippo. Before then, the Bible as a book did not exist. The Protestant Bibles do not include The Apocrypha which was part of the orginal Bible when it was first compiled. So, using your logic, one could argue that Protestants have taken away from The Word. Since there are many Scriptures that were not canonized by the Catholic or Protestant Churches does that mean non-canonical books are not the Word of God? Since the Protestant Bibles use only works that were canonized by the Catholic Church then did not the early Church teach Truth and the Protestant Reformation merely a revision or change in Church teaching?

If you want to cherry pick go ahead but don't call it biblical knowledge.
The Bible is one long and strange tail. It starts at the creation and ends at the end of the millennial reign. After that we don't know.
The reason for so much conjecture is caused by an assumption that knowing the basic outline of the story is understanding. It is not. Too many people let their opinions be final opinions before the have digested all the facts.
In other words the argument is caused by a general lack of fundamental understanding of the Word of God.

There are many things that we believe or don't believe that will not effect our final destinations. I can believe in the Trinity, the rapture, Creation, the flood, and all of the other things you mentioned or I can not believe in them. If I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, born of the virgin Mary, died on the cross, was buried, and resurrected and I accept His sacrifice as the sacrifice for my sin then I will have my place in heaven. Personally, I don't cherry pick anything. If the Bible says it, then I believe it, even if I mess up and go against some of the teachings (sin).
EDIT: Catholic Crusader You wrote (or copied) "Only the Catholic Church existed in the tenth century, in the fifth century, and in the first century, faithfully teaching the doctrines given by Christ to the apostles, omitting nothing." But doesn't the Catholic Chruch question the validity of Revelations and hasn't the Catholic Chruch ADDED much that is not found in the Bible? Why does the Catholic Church feel the need to add to God's Word? Isn't that putting man on equal status with God?

being a christian doesn't make anyone perfect, too me it means that I have Identified the creator of life that speeks to my heart and mind, Most christian's Identify the bible as the actual written word of God spoken thru his chosen prophets, as a believer in God, I wrestle with this idea that we got it figured out, that fact there is so many other religions out there lends proof that we have not figured it all out yet, all major religions in the past had astrological connections to them, when moses went up in the mountain during the exodus, the people made a calf made of gold....they were celebrating the astrological sign of taurus the bull......all most aspects of religion can be traced back to astrology, do I believe in God and Jesus? Absolutely, were the ones having the problem trying to figure it out, I think were getting better at understanding these days, but we have to carry a label that says " New Ager ", the vatican promoted book burning long ago to snuff out free thinking, its no wonder theres so many different beliefs.
I don't believe we have the capibilities too ask the right questions because our thought forms are too influenced by our upbringing and surrounding's.

Okay, I am going to answer from what God is telling me. He says there is a trinity, The Holy Ghost, The Father, and The Son. God created the flood, because he was angry at all the sinners who laughed at His name. So He did the great flood. He created the world to see how life is. I haven't learned from the Bible why he really created the world, but I know he loves each and every one of us, no matter how mean we can get. His love helped create the world. Hell is the home for many of Satan's minions, the demons. And Hell will be the life long nightmare when you die. The rapture is going to be when God and Jesus feel like capturing us in the night to bring us back home. I love God and all that He does. But God loves each and every one of us as I have repeated, and even if you don't know about him, or if you do know, but aren't a believer, you should believe, because God has a plan for each and every one of us. Even if you're not Christian. Maybe you're catholic, or even morman, but one thing is for sure, God loves you. And I have to add a few more things. Remember John 3:16, "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life." So just think, if you don't believe, that's your problem, but as for me I will go where God takes me and do his will.

I don'r agree that all Christian groups came from the Catholic Church.
If the head a church is not Jesus Christ, then it's not of God.
If it's founded by a created being, then it's not of God.
You only become a Christian when you accept Jesuc Chist as personal Saviour. I don't believe infants can do that.
Baptism is not a way to become a Christian.
John 1:10-12
10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
Ephesians 5:23-24
23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

Why do you think their has to be one "right" answer? you are applying the wrong paradigm. The only thing that Christians really need to agree on is in the name, "Christ, and his sacrifice for our sins" this is what unifies us. This is the foundation of our beliefs.
We don't agree on everything because there is nothing to agree on. Christian's do not abandon logic and reason. In fact, the like to apply these very things to the faith. However, because there are so few solid "facts" to go off of, reasonable minds sometimes reach different conclusions. (There are some unreasonable minds in there too, but what can we do about it?)
Keep in mind that very few honest Christians claim to have it "all figured out." Instead they have made a conscious decision to put their life and their beliefs into the hands of God whom we have faith exists.

Hon, There are many walks in this journey. Do you think that the instant we became saved and accepted Christ we got a package of INSTANT HOLY and a bottle of GOD KNOWLEDGE? NO!!
You do not become a brain surgeon by reading one book. You can`t fix the car by reading one book. You MUST find YOUR own way. We do believe in the basic fundamentals of the bible. The important stuff.
The other (you can`t eat this, wear that, have this, go there) is really not all that important. God knows each of us and he knows we are all struggling to be LIKE him.. However, we are not perfect, never will be perfect. He doesn`t expect perfect from us. He is perfect. We ALL fall short..
So yes your journey is up to you.. He gave us the BASIC instructions. It is up to each individual to find the answers..
What is best for each of us. We are all different.. He made us that way and made different routes for us to him, with a few basic ideas. To love him above all else. to love our neighbor as we do ourselves. IF, you just follow those two commandments everything else falls in.. You can`t hurt your neighbor if you love them like you love yourself.. However, We are natural man and as such we have natural problems and failings.. It is, what it is...
We can only do the best we can do. Then we leave the rest to him..
Peace & God bless from Texas. <><

There are so many opinions becuase:
Some take the bible literally - verbatim.
Some take it allegorically.
Some take some literally and some allegorically.
Some see things that others do not. Some don't see things that others do.
Ultimately, for me, it is hard to know without having lived during the time it was written to see exactly what the mindsent was of the writer.
We're talking a few thousands years depending on the part of the bible.
So pretty much you have to read it and let God guide you, if you are so inclined.

You can not take any of the Bible without taking all of it. People use the word christian very loosely in today's society. Some think that just because they go to church means they're christians. John 14:6 Jesus says, " I am the way, the truth, and the life, No man cometh unto the Father, but by me." Salvation is the birth of a christian. Sanctification is the process by which we become more and more into the image of Jesus Christ. Personally you should attend a Bible believing, Bible teaching church where you can grow as a believer.
