...would you please keep me and my city in your thoughts and prayers? I live in San Diego, CA and if you've been watching the national news you know that there are mutiple wild fires surrounding the county. As I walked outside at about 7:00 this morning I could smell the smoke and realized the skies had/have been polluted with it as well. Numerous schools and businesses have been closed for the day, my store/office included. My town hasn't been given evacuation orders yet as the fires are further East. However, there are Santa Anna winds that are making it extremely difficult for fire fighters to contain the fires. Futhermore, the winds have carried the fires into other areas in San Diego. Basically I'm just asking for you to keep me and other residents of San Diego in your thoughts and prayers. I have the news on and am just waiting to see if I need to pack up and leave. I pray it doesn't come to that, but you never know. Thanks everyone!

EDIT: I actually DO already have stuffed packed up. I'm just awaiting the word.

Darth Cheney, I didn't know you lived in San Diego County. I'd keep your tv and/or radio on and be ready to evacuate if necessary.

EDIT: WOW! More than 500,000 people have now been evacuated. Last night I stayed at my parents', even though we live on the same street, so we could all leave together if we were ordered to. So far my neighborhood isn't in any danger, but they keep saying on the news that the courses of the fires are unpredictable with the Santa Ana winds. Therefore, everyone in San Diego, who hasn't been called into work, is probably at home glued to their television screen. I came back to my house and will be here for a little, but then I'm going back to my parents'. I'll keep you all updated and thank your for all your thoughts and prayers.

I'm still okay and have decided to spend the night in my own home tonight. My county is still okay for now, but you never know which way the winds may blow. I won't be sure if I'll need to go into work until tomorrow, but I'll keep everyone updated. Thanks again for all the thoughts and prayers =)

Lord, I just thank you for this dear sister who wants her city to be protected by your divine power.
I ask and pray Lord that you divinely intervene to protect property and persons who could be injured or destroyed by these fires. Lord, when you sent down fire as a judgement on sodom and gemorrah for their sins to destroy them you would have spared the entire city if there were only ten righteous men. I pray and ask that the righteous of this city band together and pray and that many are called to do your work--to preach and disciple so that this entire area can repent and walk in your will and your ways.

I pray all of this in Jesus name.
Amen

I bet that Mexico City is in much more need of attention than San Diego. Not only the pollution is higher, but also, the cocos plate has changed direction and has increased it's speed multiple by four.
This has now cause rifts in Mexico City and has killed around 25 people so far. A major earthquake is expected to hit the city again shortly going up to 9.2 to 9.4 on the Richter scale. which is a LOT more than the earthquake in ´85 which was only 8.1

This next quake will kill hundreds of thousands of people.

I live in San Diego county, too. I didn't even know about the fires until I went out to do some errands yesterday. I smelled the smoke.

I just saw on TV that people in my area are OK, but my house smells like smoke now.

I know how ya feel I was surround here in Florida. It is not fun and the smoke and ashes were terrible.
All my Family was in the midst of it they had to come to town and get motels. Its defiantly costly and aggrivating not knowing whats going on.
But All that fire had to do was jump one road and we all would have been toast.

I pray God sends Rain soon.

One of my best friends lives in San Diego, and he was in the process of evacuating the office when I called him at lunch to check up on him. Best wishes to you all!

Yes Kori, I'm so sorry to hear what you and the city are going through. I wish I could send you the cold rain falling over the Dallas Metro area. I will pray for you and them, too.
