Stay on the meds and get on an exercise program. I hear you moaning about that one. I, too, have suffered from depression. Exercise really helps, and if you are lucky enough to be able to go to a gym, you can meet some people and take your mind off your troubles. Good luck to you.

Xanax should assist with sleep when taken near bedtime. Seroquel is generally usued as an antipsychotic for hallucinations/delusions/paranoia. Sleeplessness is usually a side effect of depression, so possibly your Lexapro need to be increased. Ask for a regular sleep aid such as Lunesta, Rozerem, or Ambien.

Yes, do get some exercise. But you don't have to know what to ask for. Just tell your doctor if you're not getting any better, describe all your problems in detail, and he is the trained professional, he'll know what to do. If you continue for a while, still not better, and no further help from him, consider another MD.

you are expecting too much far too soon from the meds. It takes four to six weeks to build proper levels in your blood stream from those meds. You also need to be participating in your own wellness by getting therapy and taking classes in phobia/anxiety management. Meds will only do so much, you have to participate in your own mental health.

I say stay on the meds till you feel you can live without them. Try to sleep without them once a week. Also, try to find something/ someone to destract you from your depression.
