The Old Testament has been proven historically and geographically accurate. It really is an amazing study/piece of literature. As a matter of fact, historians have turned to it for information on ancient cultures. You should try studying it. It is very interesting. And, the entirety of it points to the coming of Jesus and the explanation of His work. Which, explains what God He is "related" to.

How is the Old Testament mythology? Because things changed in the New Testament does not mean that the Old Testament is mythology. It simply means things changed. Jesus Christ entered the New Testament, which changed everything. Also, there is only one God. The Bible says that "God is one".

A very good question. I have been of both camps. The metaphore of The Garden has to do with Pride. Not the good kind of pride from a job well done but something much more sinister. In the story there was an original flow of influence. God>man>woman>world. Due to Adam's desire to be greater than he was (ie: God), he harkened to the appeal to his Pride, as his subordinate Eve saw this weakness and was willing to stroke his ego. Now the direction of influence has been reversed: world>woman>man and now Adam looks at his conscience (Latin= with knowing) aka God, as something to fear because it is telling him that something is wrong and he doesn't want to hear it due to Pride. The "knowledge" of good and evil (imagination, intellect) instead of simple knowing, an acknowledgment of what Truth is because it is there for all to see. Now the Source of all knowing (God) which is within us all is something we escape from: conscience. We inherit this fatal flaw. Sure, it's human nature, but there is something more important going on here. Having never made a choice ourselves, we still have a choice left. Some among us desire to reassert the proper direction of flow and to become one with (at-one-ment = atonement) the True ground of our being, aka The Creator, of which we are an expression. So the whole Jesus thing had to do with a practical demonstration of what right looks like. The religious folks make way too much of his death and pay little attention to what he was saying, the lessons, the whole point of the story. Which was an "undoing" of Pride. Not for us, because we still have it. So it wasn't "fixed" in that way. And maybe it was a necessary technical payment, I won't discount that and don't claim to understand whether that was necessary or not, above my pay grade. He lived his life, gave his teachings, along the lines of humility and service. And somehow, by channeling The Force, there is great Power in this. By not living according to the laws of Pride, by demonstrating what it could be like when the proper direction of flow happens, he tapped into a Power so awesome we call it God. The Father. So that's what I think happened. And it changed the world. Now, I have a question for you. The very logo of Christianity, the praying hands. What was Jesus teaching (now excised from the texts) having to do with 'prayer' and the hands? He was clearly teaching a way to reverse the flow, to reassert the proper direction of flow. Using the hands suggests some sort of meditation. A form which had profound results. Below is a link to a free exercise which, while I don't know if it was what he was teaching, accomplishes the same goal, so probably it's similar. When he said leave everything and go the way I'm going, he wasn't kidding. Follow the white rabbit.

The Old testament is not at all mythology, it contains stories of actual prophets send by GOD with the one message to worship GOD and to obey him.
The same stories are retold in the Quran with additional informations and proof which only GOD could have known.
For eg.
1) the ark of NOAH a.s. being kept as a sign for mankind to take a lesson.
2) The body of Pharoah (RAMSES ii) kept as a sign , His body was underwater for 3116 years yet nothing happened to it.
3) The village of Lot a.s.(soddom) kept as a sign next to a highway.
All these and many many more are the proof that these books do not contain myths, But actual incidences which GOD has revealed to us in books one after the other so that we mankind take heed and walk the straight path.
QURAN Sura 4. An-Nisaa
150
Those who deny Allah and his Rasool and those who intend to draw a line between Allah and His Rasools saying: "We believe in some, and reject the rest" - desiring to take a middle way between belief and unbelief
151
- these are the real unbelievers and We have prepared for such unbelievers a humiliating punishment.

Since Jesus and all gods are imaginary, one can say whatever he likes about this. There are so many contradictions about Jesus in the Bible that he surely never really lived. The date of his birth is given 10 or more years apart in two passages. He cannot be both the son of God and the Messiah as Christians try to say. The Messiah was to be descended from David. Two passages say Joseph was 28 or 41 in line from David, but Joseph was not really Jesus' father, if Jesus was son of some deity.

The OT might be "obviously mythology" to you, dear one, but to Christians and most scientists, it is extremely accurate history.
God bless!

None of the above. Myths don't have relatives.
On the other hand, Jesus, my gardener, is related to his brother Juan, his sister Maria, his parents in Texas, his cousins in Mexico and a bunch of other people.
