I just want to point out that in order to effectively lose as much weight as possible, you should vary both your calorie intake as well as your calories burned. Studies have proven that by mixing up your diet and excercise program, you tend to lose more weight than those who don't. They blame it on our bodies ability to adapt to our excercise, and our calorie intake. This being said, if you stay true your diet plan, you could lose 1 Ib. a week and still be healthy, full, and not wore out by extensive excercise.

Your body always burns more than 250 calories per day, so let's consider that first. I'm guessing that 250 is what you're counting up on some sort of monitor or chart -- i.e. intentionally-burned calories through exercise and so on. But you're burning calories, as mentioned in the answers above, simply by breathing and walking around. So the overall "burn-off" is hard to calculate, because it depends on how much you're burning during your everyday activity.

Since many bodies function on more than 1200 calories per day, you're probably burning off more calories than you consume, even without exercise. So you'll lose weight regardless.

However, drastically restricting your caloric intake and exercising aren't always good ideas, especially if doing so leads to quick weight loss. The likelihood is that you'll develop cravings, go on food binges or hit a weight-loss plateau, and possibly gain some or all of that weight back. I know that it's nice to see drastic changes in your body over the course of a couple of weeks, but it's not nice to see those changes go away almost as quickly.

It's better to forget about the one-month plan and instead develop a lifestyle that enables you to slowly lose weight over a longer period of time. This kind of weight loss is much easier to sustain.

You need to burn more calories that you consume... of course, you burn calories just sitting and watching TV, so there is no true way to really figure out how many calories you really burn in a days time.... but exercise wise, you will need to burn more than 250 calories to lose weight...

An average person can burn 250 calories in 30 minutes on a treadmill... and in order to lose weight you really need to spend an hour in the gym doing a combination of cardio exercises (running/swimming/etc) and resistance training (weights)... its important to do both of them and you will see a bigger difference sooner

30 days is a good time frame to begin seeing a change in your body... but I would suggest working on a balanced exercise routine.

Also, it looks like you've already devised a diet plan... some people count calories and then eat the same thing every day because they know that they wont "go over" their calorie "limit"... however, it is unhealthy to eat the same thing over and over... make sure you eat a variety of foods and match what you need from the typical food pyramid

You will GAIN about 8 lbs. But don't worry, you burn more than 250 calories a day by simply being alive.

Probably not much as you have to burn off more calories than you take in to loose weight effectively.
