I'm recieving unemployment benefits. My question is since I can't find a job I decieded to go back to school and finish my college degree would going back to school disqulify me form recieving further unemployment benefits.

the money that i recieve is not much, but it would help me with my gas and some pocket money to and from school

If you are no longer actively seeking employment you are no longer considered unemployed. Therefore, you would no longer be eligible for benefits if you go back to school.

If you continue to actively seek employment, (send resumes, go on interviews) then you could continue to collect benefits.

No - going to school shouldn't cut your benefits but unemployment in most places only lasts for so long. It may run out before you finish school. Also, some places want you to be actively seeking work. Call the unemployment office and get your questions answered.

You can persue your education and this no disqualification for receiving your unemployment benefits !!!!
