We have 2 cats and we have recently discovered they came to us pretty much infested with fleas....I have dipped them, and recently found eggs and larvae in my daughters bed. I immediately stripped her bed and put everything in the washer! Her rugs went into a plastic bag until I can find how to take care of them. We were all seriouslly alarmed by this and are taking the steps to rid our home completely, but I am very concerned about the fleas infesting us...is this possible?? Thank You!!

My friend just had this same problem they have 2 dogs and a cat. They had to stay out of the house for a couple nights while they flea bombed every room. If you do this make sure you vamcuum and wash the carpets and linen before continueing to live there. also let the house air out really good before bringing your daughter back.

Flea eggs and larvae are microscopic; invisible to the naked eye. I'm thinking what you saw in your daughters bed was flea dirts (poos) - do the cats ever go on her bed? If you examine the cat's skin, you'll find flea dirts there too.

You need some proper treatment, and you won't find it at a pet store because store-bought products don't work.

Go to a vets and get some Frontline, or any veterinary spot-on. Make sure it gets on the skin of your cat's neck, not their fur or it won't work. Also spray your house, because this is where the flea eggs hatch out.

It's your cats and house the fleas want so if you treat them properly, you'll be safe from fleas too.

Yes it's possible, you need to give your house a thorough cleaning and vaccuming in order to remove the eggs. Wash every fabric thing in hot water. Use bleach or bleach for colours. Vaccum like crazy from now on, in all the cracks and everywhere. Oh, and have your cats de-loused.

you can get infested with fleas. stay somewhere else for a couple nites and board your cats , flea bomb your ENTIRE house (crawlspaces, vents, attics AND basements, ect included) after the flea bombing is done and its safe to go inside, steam clean ALL mattresses, carpets, and upolstered furniture or get it done proffessionally. wash ALL blankets, pillows , sheets, clothing, stuffies, ect. get your cats proffessionally flea-ridden. you should also wash all walls, floors , furniture ect. atlast a clean flee-free home! good luck!!

Put Frontline on them. I haven't seen a flea in years since using it.
