LOL, good one. I'm, well, not young, and in my entire life I have once and once only had an evangelist come to my door. So I tend to doubt that any of the atheists who rant on about doorbell pushing have experienced it much, if at all.
The really annoying part of the atheist gripe is that they consider it foul play and unwarranted evangelizing when we come onto a site called "Religion and Spirituality" and talk about our, well, religion and spirituality.
But not one of them considers it evangelizing to post questions and rants pushing evolution. Is evolution a religion? Is it spiritual? Neither, so hypocrisy is the rule of the day.
Enjoyed your sense of irony, thanks.

a million) whilst i've got have been given self assurance abiogenesis (and there is data to assist it) there are distinctive ideas, including panspermia. 2) i understand that; a) I exist (even to doubt it demands that I exist), and b) i'm having some style of journey. each concern else could be doubted without contradiction. subsequently, the agnostic stance (stressful or comfortable) on God(s), if prolonged to to information in maximum situations, would desire to get rid of merely approximately all information, and is subsequently vacuous. Agnosticism is a cop-out. You the two believe in a deity (theism) or you do not (atheism). 3) We via no potential have direct get entry to to somebody else's journey, no count quantity if of a meant deity or what's cut back than a microscope. What we call objectivity is merely a rigorous style of inter-subjective contract. for occasion, if we do a learn on an hallucinogen, and great numbers of the persons grant recognizably comparable descriptions of the journey, that's taken to *objectively* describe what the drug induces in journey. in distinctive words, there is not any stressful line between subjective and objective, objective is a subset of subjective. Karl Popper is the 1st to formulate this definition of "objective", and it rather is genuinely known indoors the philosophy of technological be attentive to-how as we talk. edit: it rather isn't pantheism, it rather is panentheism. edit 2: you probable did actual, my mistake. Now, any question with regard to the beginning up place of the universe is an absurdity. It tries to be conscious the time specific seen causality (reason *until now* effect) exterior of time. subsequently, I see no coherent question to respond to. QED

I am a Christan but I think I could say the same for you. Why would you be offended at their actions? Do you go out and try to witness to people? You see no matter what you answer yes or no you will lose. If you don't well then you are not doing what Christ told you to do and if you do then you are doing the same as them. Please study Christ's character and 1 Cor chapter 13 about love and may God Bless you in your pursuit if truth

"Atheist Bible" is a real oxymoron. I have never heard of atheists trying to force their beliefs upon anyone, but it is quite the thing for Christians and Moslems to do that. I wish you would tell my oldest sister to stop preaching to me. I am the family atheist, and she has some dumb brand of Christianity that has illiterates like her as members. Are you telling the truth here? It is hard to believe that atheists could be as tyrannical as Christians.

the god delusion is not an atheist bible, that is obsurd and the fellow that did this to you is just confused, what that book is, is a very good scientific theory on why we as a species tend to be religious, yes it does differ from your opinions, but it is only directly an attact on you if you perceive it so, just because alot of science makes the claim that we did evolve from lesser life forms and that infact religion is just a product of our psychologigal makeup and the fact that you feel the need for god and to be special etc, you percieve it as an attack on you.

I wish somebody gave me a copy of the God Delusion. I had to pay for it.
Also, I don't know why those people were evangelizing. Some people just do that.

I seriously doubt that an atheist ever came up and just handed you a copy of The God Delusion unless it was some friend of yours.

Beautiful!
We could do with more of that type of evangelizing! We're only trying to make you see the Truth, right?

Did they come door to door? or were they standing on a street corner? Did they have a megaphone?
If you had actually read the book you would see how ridiculous you sound.
