You should see a vet, or at very least call one to make sure she does not have an issue. Cat's throw up for all kinds of reasons, mine has a thyroid issue that was causing her to throw up,and had to be put on medication for it before she got better and stopped the throwing up. It also could be that she is getting older and the food is to heavy for her system now. Try either getting a milder food (Purina indoor works on my girls, they are 11, you may try senior if she is older then 10) or if she is the only cat in the house hold try giving her only one cup at a time and wait and see if two - three hours go by and she is OK then try a little more, she may be speed eating because she likes the flavor. Do talk to your vet though, cats are exceptionally strong, and can be sick without us knowing it. They can't exactly tell us what hurts and why so an expert opinion may be more useful to you.

It could be an allergy as most others have said, or it could be that your cat is really just a pig. I know mine is! When she was a kitten we first bought her special kitten food. It was supposed to be nice small pieces that a kitten could eat easily. Unfortunatly it was too easy, and she would swallow them whole without even chewing. Later that day, she would throw it all up.
I solved the problem by buying a different food with bigger pieces, so she was forced to chew (dumb, lazy cat). I also fed her smaller amounts more frequently so she couldn't shovel as much in at once. It's been 3 years now and she has been fine ever since!

Keep your cat inside for some time to see if he is still throwing up. If so, go to the vet and check of internal problems. Also, in the house, you might have loose small objects. Typical breeds like the Persians tend to chew and eat things they should not. Some other cats vary on their eating behaviors. You should make sure there aren't any loose plastic toys.

This happened to my cat about six months ago and it turns out it was hairballs. He had never had a hairball in his life, but the vet said it happens to cats as they get older. They gave me some tuna flavored hairball goo and he hasn’t thrown up since. Go to the Vet.

You're right, flea don't cause vomiting. Many MANY other things do though - how do you expect us on here to be able to tell you the cause? It could be anything! At a minimum I'd say don't feed that food anymore!
If you actually want to know the reason for this vomiting, you going to have to ask a vet.

If your cat thinks it is particularly tasty, she may gobble it down quickly, which usually results in an upchuck. The solution is to put out less food at one time. A second reason is that it may be too rich for your cat, and that will also result in an upchuck.
Try putting out smaller portions, but more often, but spaced further apart to see if that makes a difference.

My cat does the same thing. A lot of cat food is made up of animal parts which no one should eat, especially the cat. Don't feed her that stuff anymore.

Get a different food: There's something in the food she's eating that's not good for her.
Another thing you can try is giving her smaller portions so she can't eat herself sick.
If that doesn't work, take her to the vet.

Your cat may be allergic to this brand of food. I would try switching her brand, however gradually, to make sure she does not have a worse reaction to switching her diet too quickly. If this does not prove to be helpful, take her to a vet, as she may have an infection or other serious illness.

It may be an intolerance to that specific brand. Try buying a different brand and if the same thing still happens take her to the vet.
