I had a dream that I was on vacation somewhere, and I was looking for someone. I was in a condo and found steps that led to a downstairs living room. I see the man I was looking for, he is laying on the couch and above him is a large window with a beautiful view. He sees me on the stairs and approaches me. He is standing 2 steps ahead of me on the staircase and his right hand is lifted up holding my left hand, he says "when are we gonna make love". So we begin up the stairs toward the bedroom. Unfortunately when we get there the room is cluttered and someone is in it. We couldn't make love. Then I awoke.
BTW: I know this guy for a long time. When I had the dream I had just broken up with my ex of 5 + years and he had just gotten divorced... Is it fate?

couldn't make love = conflict, struggle, guilt conscience
steps led to downstairs living room = decision making
It seems like you have some decision making in terms of relationship. Projecting him in your dream could mean that you are feeling lonely and this guy may be in your subconscious mind for desire. Whether this guy is for you or is it fate, that is other matter. What matter most is your current situation. In translation, when you were looking for someone in dream, that may show loneliness in you and because you have known this guy for long time, that lurks into your subconscious and become a symbol of your loneliness and you vent this out in dream.

It sounds like this is something that's been on your mind for awhile now.. Contact him and meet casually, but keep in mind that you both just got out of relationships and it could really cause some bad tension if you let it go too far too quickly.
In most cases, we have someone in the back of our minds labeled, "What might have been"... it can be a good thing to explore this question but keep in mind, people change.

susually a BIRTH or makin love is a sign of something new.
