Particularly Paula Deen and Sandra Lee. I always wondered if they really cook out of their homes. If they do, how do they set that up? Where do they live?

Paula Deen cooks out of her home in Savannah, GA. The only other ones who uses their real homes are Michael Chiarello, Nigella Lawson and the Barefoot Contessa. Bobby Flay uses the rooftop of his NYC apartment building for "Boy Meets Grill" too. The rest of them are sets at the Food Network Studios made up to look like kitchens.
FYI - Giada DeLaurentis uses a real home in LA to film, but it's not HER actual house.

Well I think the only one that actually does is Paula Dean. I know that Giadda DeLaurentis is in a home kitchen but it's not her own. They rent the whole house out for like 3-4 months & do all of her shows there in that time slot. Tyler Florence has a replica of his home kitchen, and the rest i am pretty sure are sets.

Paula Deen cooks food that I would actually eat, so does Rachel Ray sometimes. Their cooking isn't too complicated and I feel like I could reproduce it. Some of the other chefs are crazy with the stuff they cook. I mean who really eats quail eggs?

The only one I know for sure is Paula Deen. Rachel Ray's is a set. Tyler Florence's is a set designed to look like his kitchen at home and Giada's is an actual kitchen in a house but, it is not her house.

Best I can remember from Chefography, Paula Deen is the only one that actually cooks at her own home, indoor kitchen and outdoor kitchen in Savannah, GA.

sandra lee cooks in other peoples kitchens. The kitchens change. Paula deen and Ina Garten cook in thier own kitchens... I think Giada does too.
