my dear, you have just gone thru what is the most challenging change a woman's body goes thru, you are also nursing, I think you need to worry a great deal less about your weight a great deal more about your nutrition at this point. Both for your baby and for yourself. Do control your caloric intake, but not for weight loss, just to prevent further weight gain. Drink at least two liters of water daily to maintain milk production and to hydrate yourself adequately. Exercise is all you need be doing at this time. Once you ween the child, that would be the time to start a weight loss regime. Don't cheat your baby and yourself during this very special time.

Hi,

First I should congratulate you on how well you have done so far, you didn't give me enough info on the types of food you're eating, so I'll have to second guess where you could be going wrong. First thing is diets don't work because you cant sustain a diet, so it's pointless, dieting just confuses your metabolism, one minute it's getting no food, the next it's getting loads of food, this just sets you back to square 1 with a few extra pounds to go with.

I wouldn't focus on the weight too much because muscle weighs more than fat, but muscle is much smaller and doesn't take up as much space as fat does, so you are probably build ing muscle from the high intensity cardio and the body pump class, just in case you still want to lose more weight I've listed a few tips to help you along the way.

Tip 1.
Start doing cardio first thing in the morning on a empty stomach, doing this forces your body to use fat and muscle mass for fuel instead of carbohydrates, this helps with weight loss.

Tip 2.
Invest in a G.I diet book, it's more of a eating plan than a diet, so you can use it for the rest of your life, you'll learn how to pick foods which don't get stored as body fat.

Tip 3.
Eat carbohydrates only at Breakfast and after a workout, these are the only times when carbohydrates are not stored as fat.

Tip 4.
Use a Fat burner supplement, these natural herbs help your body burn a extra 25-50 calories a day, it might not sound like much, but add this up at the end of the month and it amounts to quite a bit, look out for titles like Lean system 7, Lipo 6, Tight by San.

Good Luck
