Okay, so basically I'm 16 in 2 months, and I'm desperate for a tattoo.
I only want a small one behind my ear, but I know you can't legally get one until your 18.
Does anyone know of any places that will do it illegally?
I know off all the risks and stuff, so dont bother telling me.
Or to anyone that got one before they was 18; HOW DID U GET AWAY WITH IT?
I know someone people who have got fake ID, but other than that, I dunno how else I can get one.

If your not 18, your parent has to go with you and youd have to get a consent form filled out. Youre not suppose to get tattoos at a young age because of the development and/or blood or something like that. Something has to fully develop before you put ink in your skin. BUT! i got my first tat wen i was 16 and had no problems....So go for it!

Well I dont know where you live, but in my state if you have a parent or gaurdian sign, you can get a tattoo when you are 16. And I would strongly discourage you from going somewhere that does it "illegally" because that doesnt sound safe nor clean. Tattoos shops get inspected quite frequently and the standards they have to follow are crazy but very required. I would never go to a tattoo shop that didnt have their inspection hanging on their wall. Be careful! If your parents won't sign for it, because they disapprove...then how are you going to hide a tat behind the ear?

You have to get parental consent. And that doesn't mean faking a note from your mom. They actually have to come into the shop with you, with some sort of proof you're parent and child, and you're good to go. I wouldn't risk using a fake, a lot of places are cracking down on the fake ids.

I got my first tattoo when I was15 (I'm now 21 and have no regrets), all I needed was my parents concent. I know there are some places in Nova Scotia, Canada (and I assume elsewhere) that will do it for anyone at any age, with or without concent. There is no law saying that you can't get a tattoo before 18. I know a few girls who just spoke with the tattoo artist that I go to when they were 16 and he was willing to do it for them.

Any self respecting tattoo artist wouldnt waste their time on doing work on a minor. Sorry.
Some artists feel you shouldnt even get a tattoo before the age of 21. It is permanent..duh. And people change their minds alot, especially through the younger stages of life. Regret is the emotion that is felt often as they get older and realize..They diddnt need this dumb tattoo of their favorite band member,sports player,chinese charachter,ex gf or bf,cartoon,etc...Not against tats, as I and my spouse have them..Just waited till we were old enough to get them.

I am 17 and I have 4 tattoos. I didnt get them illegally. all of mine were legal. All I had to do was have a parent signature on the form. But I live in Ohio so the laws might be different in another state. If I can help in any other way please email me at Armygrl_23@yahoo.com. Good luck

good luck with the staph infection that you are likely to get! you know... on the news the MRSA strain of staph that is resistant to medicine that has killed quite a few young people in the last couple of weeks... people get that from shoddy tattoo shops. is a dumb tattoo behind your ear REALLY worth serious illness and possibly death? really?
i get it, when i was your age i wanted a tattoo too. but i waited and i'm glad i did. i love my tattoos and couldn't imagine being without them but if you can't get it legally... just wait.

well im 15 and im 16 in a cupl of weeks n im gettin a tattoo but i live in turkey so then they dont care the age!!

Fake ID is your only chance. Any respectable tattoo parlor will card you, if they don't, you probably don't want to have them sticking a needle in you anyway.

Well actually if your parents sign off you can get a tatoo, but I don't see anything that good about them to rush into getting one. You have to really take care of them or they can actual become a danger to your skin...I have one.
