I want to go to Italy. Its a place we have both wanted to go for a long time but have not been there yet. I thought about an all inclusive island adventure because those are ALWAYS fun, but after getting married we plan to have kids and I doubt that we will get the chance to take a vacation to Italy after being married (or we would probably have to wait at least 25 years).
The reason why we choose Italy is also because it is a romantic place and we are also both italian (he is full italian and I am 1/2) so we would like to go see where our grand parents and great grandparents are from. I think it is a great expierence for us to share that together since after marriage your families are joined. Its would be like a big circle to see where our families began and have brough us now.

For me--as much as I want to go to Europe and see everything with my husband--after the wedding and being so stressed about making sure everything went the way it was suppose to, I wanted to relax.
Somewhere on a beach, where I could listen to the surf. Walk down to the beach and lay out. Take naps. If we didn't get out of bed until noon a couple days, we didn't miss anything. One day we could learn to windsurf or go parasailing, maybe rent a jetski, but we could completely set our own schedule. Plus all-inclusives are great b/c you aren't constantly thinking about how much this costs and paying for this and that. You eat whenever you want and its paid for.
I'd hate to go to Europe b/c if I'm only going to be there a week (unless you are lucky enough to have a 2 week honeymoon), I'm going to feel bad if I don't get out and see everything I wanted to see. If I waste a whole day, just sitting around in the hotel room, then thats one day of Europe I missed out on. The worst thing is those several countries trips. 5 European countries in 7 days. All you saw was a train the whole time. If I'm going to Europe, I definitely want to see only one country.
I'll get back to Europe some other time though--for the honeymoon I just want to relax.
However--if I got married in the winter I would have LOVED to honeymoon in Vermont or Maine. A little cabin, secluded, with some hot chocolate and watching the snow fall. Perhaps one day of skiing. Perhaps snow tubing one evening. And a lot of sitting by the fireplace. That would have been great too.

Iceland.
Because I live in a sub-tropical climate and my idea of a fun vacation is some place cold and brisk. That, and I have been to Iceland before and its a very cool little country both literally and figuratively. If you go there, you must check out the Blue Lagoon.

We are going on a two week cruise to Italy, Greece, Turkey and Egypt. We both love history and learning about different cultures so a cruise was a good way for us to see more than one country without spending an arm and a leg on travel and hotels.

My husband and I were married in June and due to work schedules we couldn't honeymoon right away. In Oct we went to Vermont. OMG it was incredible! We had 10 days to relax, take nature walks, go horseback riding and just enjoy time alone. As they say -- we healed our bodies, minds and spirits.

a nice all inclusive resort - its laid back, pure relaxinging, go to a top notch place, have a little fun, drink it up, and enjoy the beach.
or a cruise is always fun if you have never done one. romantic for sure. royal carribean has less kids. and if you like things to do and entertainment, thats your best bet.
