i'm a Catholic who's never even noticed your questions. If they have been asnwered they've not stood out in any way in particular. I think you are a little paranoid and might want to get some help on that issue.

Catholics have not banned the bible. Had the protestant movement been around they too would have had the same challenges -- 1) reading was not something everyone did, quite a few actually could read actually. 2) bibles were not easy to obtain 3) even those who could read were not educated enough to understand

You really need to stop your paranoia and quit basing today on what was and enjoy the fellowship and studies of today!

God Bless

Certain translations of the Bible were banned because they contained quite a bit of error.

Many fundamentalist Christians have said that the KJV is the only valid Bible. It seems that they would ban other Bibles if they had the opportunity.

Hello. I think perhaps you are jumping to conclusions. Are you so sure it's Catholics who are reporting you? I've noticed that you are quite hateful towards Catholics in your questions and your answers, but I've never reported you, nor will I report you in the future. You have just as much right to your opinion as anyone. In fact, I hope you and others who share your opinions do keep posting questions. Each one of them represents an opportunity for us to correct false ideas about Catholicism and to teach the people who read our responses about what our Faith *really* is, as opposed to what non-Catholics *think* it is.

I'll presume to offer a wee bit of advice, though. Keep in mind that nothing is more rapidly discrediting in a debate than resorting to insults and obvious hatred. Perhaps a touch of moderation in your delivery would both lend your opinions a greater degree of credibility and decrease the number of your questions/answers that are reported. Just a thought.

Peace and blessings to you!

Yeah right! The bishops of the Catholic Church met in Council at the direction of the Pope, for the purpose of defining the Canon of Scripture and producing the Bible, for the use of the Catholic Church. They spent a couple of years carrying out the task. And then, having defined the Canon once and for all time, and having produced the Bible, they then BANNED THEIR OWN BOOK for hundreds of years! Yeah right! And in the meantime they filled their churches with murals and paintings depicting scenes from the very book they had "banned". Makes sense to me :-)

Er.

Unless you're looking over the shoulder of the people hitting the "report' button, you do not know who is doing it.

Also, I'd advise against thinking that you know why other people do what they do.

It's been my experience that that kind of thing says nothing about other people, but worlds about you.

This is just a dinky Internet message board. I wouldn't try to derive to much greater meaning from what its moderators do. I definitely wouldn't compare what happens on here to major real life events. I think you might need to turn the computer off and take a nice relaxing walk outside.

Feeling a bit paranoid this morning, are we?

I report only one thing: Gratuitous obscenities. Since you're a Christian and don't use profanity, I haven't and won't bother to report you. Nor do I hate you ... but there's quite a lot of hate coming from your direction. Nevertheless, you have as much right to post your opinion as anyone else.

Maybe they just do it because (based on what I see in this question) you make generalizations - and you even seem a bit - well - mean.

Maybe somebody just saw your bad side for a minute. I'm sure you're a much nicer person.

Namaste!

I don't know you, but I'd assume that you aren't analogous to the biggest selling book of all time.
However, your general thrust is correct, in that Catholicism, a bloated, hierarchical menace, is ill-equipped to survive into today's atmosphere without undergoing some significant changes.

They never could stop us Mormons

We got the Gospel from our Heavenly Father, through Jesus Christ and all the prophets that has ever lived.

And they are jealous because of it!

The Roman Catholic Church banned every one except the Priest from having the true knowledge of God's words to us.

Then came Martin Luther, and it was over!
