need to correct Singing River on this

絕口不提 (jue2 kou3 bu4 ti2) is a Chinese idiom, meaning "never mention" or "never say".

絕 = stop. it doesn't carry the meaning of don't or never.

so 绝口不提爱你 = STOP AND DON"T EVER MENTION LOVE YOU.

there's a difference here. never mention love you means since beginning until now, the words "love you" were not mentioned at all.

stop and don't ever mention love you means, for once, the person mentioned "love you", but due to some changes, he/she will stop and will never mention it again.

Actually, if translated to Chinese, "mean" is "men"

Jue=think/feel
Kou=Gou=enough
BuTi=(i think)=not
Ai=love
Ni men=you, as said to people

*not enough love felt from everyone??

It's Chinese, written as "絕口不提!愛你"

絕口不提 (jue2 kou3 bu4 ti2) is a Chinese idiom, meaning "never mention" or "never say".

愛你 (ai4 ni3) means "love you".

Together it can mean "I'll never mention/say it! I love you" or "I have never mentioned/said it! I love you."

However, if you remove the exclamation mark, it will mean "I'll never mention/say I love you".

Additional:

Wa Lao is almost right about 絕, but 絕 does have the meaning of "never". We don't always translate idioms, sentences or phrases from one language to another word by word. What's important is the equvalence of the meaning.
