Being gay isn't a "sin." The idea that God created certain people with certain impulses that He "disapproves" of, and which they must never act on, even though it harms nobody, or they'll burn in hell forever, is about as backwards and primitive as it gets.

And now thumb me down, ye hypocrites. I know you hate to be criticized for pretending that "God" endorses your irrational hatred. I know hating an entire class of people on the flimsiest basis possible - that of a few cherry-picked Biblical texts from among hundreds of others that you habitually ignore - feels good, and gives you that nice cosy feeling of fake self-righteousness; but I'll call you on it anyway. If you're actually so benighted and black-hearted that you believe God is behind you on this, you're really beneath pity.

A sin is a sin is a sin... We tend to classify the severity of sin on a scale of what we consider to be bad, and in most circumstances we use ourselves as the measuring medium. Which is not the method that the Bible teaches. according the the Word, lying is just as bad as murder, both will lead the unrepentant self-justifying sinner to Hell. So no God does not disprove of Gays more than Adulterers, Because the man that keeps the Law perfectly, yet stumbles at one point is just as guilty as the man that keeps none of the Law.

IMO- God actually made a commandment about Adultery, yet not one about being gay. Alot of people say the Adultery commandment is inclusive of all sexual sin- yet there must be a difference between a man who cheats on his wife, a couple who are monogamous and yet not married, a gay couple, a child molester, etc. Its obvious which are the most disapproved of- child molesters go to jail, gays, adulterers, and non-married couples do not. YET, an excuse for stealing $1 is not , but _____stole $10,000 dollars. Addressing your question I would look down more on a person who lies and cheats on their spouse, then a monogamous gay couple.I can not speak for God though.

no, the laws are to help you out finding God, like if you were a kleptomaniac and your kleptomania was keeping you from learning about God somehow! The first and great commandment is to "Love the Lord, Thy God with all thine heart" right? so if "Your" God (some god that resembles biblical literature) said that "loving me requires monogomy or heterosexuality" then I would do it but the bible only lists better ways to love god not clever laws to shape yourself into a "christian" basically the bible describes the personality of God, not that you should be exactly as God

All sin is offensive to God. Homosexuality is just one of the many things listed in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 that will keep a person from the kingdom of God. According to the Bible, God’s forgiveness is just as available to a homosexual as it is to an adulterer, idol worshipper, murderer, thief, etc. God also promises the strength for victory over sin, including homosexuality, to all those who will believe in Jesus Christ for their salvation (1 Corinthians 6:11; 2 Corinthians 5:17).

It seems that the Bible condemns both of these lifestyles...

1 Corinthians 6:9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, 10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.

As for being born this way, even being "born heterosexual" there are desires that cannot, per spiritual discernment, be acted on. While there is no evidence anyone is "born that way", even if it were the case, it is not justifiable to presume it is permitted (many people are born of alcoholics, and it is debatable that they have a predisposition to alcoholism; it is not permissive for them)

I think there is a very strong biblical argument that any "sin" is just as bad as the rest. Technically this means that a little white lie is as bad as lusting after your neighbor's wife, those are as bad as blasphemy and those are as bad as full scale genocide.

Apparently, God doesn't have the concept of degree or premeditation.
