I've never heard of such and I've been a pest control professional for 10 years. I've used boric acid powder, you can mix it with baking soda. Used with a flea bomb it should work well. Fleas lay eggs which hatch into larvae which then pupate. The pupas can live in the carpet for up to a year or longer before they emerge as adult fleas. That is why sometimes you can go into a house that has been empty for months and get covered with fleas.

No. Nothing gets rid of fleas reliably except for the flea prevention medications you get from the vet.

I have heard that if you sprinkle salt on carpets and let it sit for a few hours and then vacuum it up it will kill fleas. I have never tried it, but I have heard that it DOES work.

No. It's supposed to dehydrate the fleas, but they're much too tough for that!

Get proper treatments from a vet, for both your pets (if you have them) and your house.
