Muslims, is Jesus good?

remember that Jesus said "no one is good but God" so if you say Jesus is good then you say he is God according to his words. and if you say that Jesus was bad then you go agenst how you belive that Jesus was a profit. for you belive that all the profits where pure/Good. but even many profits where punshed for being bad...Moses could not enter the Promis land is one example.. anyway just wonder how you will answer this one? whats you idea about this?

Jesus was surely good and Hazrat Mohammad the propounder of Islam was also good. On an absolute level there was no difference between the teachings of both of them. Both of them preached about the same God but in a different manner to the people of various graded consciouness. The persons were same, the teachings were same but the audience were different. This is the only difference between muslims and Christians. So there is no need for us to critize the muslims to ask them whether Jesus was good. Relatively the answer may change but absolutely the answer is same.

According to the question, Jesus is being focussed as the person filled by false ego . Jesus never told that he is was good or God. He only stated that he was the son of God and ofcourse the son of good person will imbibe the qualities of that person. God is good and His sons we are also good orignally. The only thing is that this state of ours is not being awaken properly. To awaken this dormant consciousness one should explore the ancient classics and the people who have written commentaries on them. One such person whom I have come across is Srila Prabhupada, the founder Acharya of International Society for Krishna Consciousness. He has gone deep into the teachings of the ancient classics and made it very easy for common man to understand them in the common lanuguage. His books are really worth reading and to find more about this topic it will good if you read his book, Science of Self-realization.

ok, we don't believe that Jesus said "no one is good but God" so now aren't you taking out all the other "prophets." We believe that Jesus carried out the message of God to the people....just like all the other prophets. The messages have been changed, according the people of that time. Mohammed, the last prophet, is the seal to all the messages that have been sent by God. And by the way everything that you believe that Jesus or other Prophets have done, we don't exactly believe that it went down that way, like with Moses as you mentioned above. And the whole thing about God having a son, we don't believe that. God is the one and only. There's no mother, father, daughter, or son. Mary having a child without a man is just a miracle, something God did to show his power.

Tell me something... are you bad or good? if you're good then... does that mean you're god????
All prophets are good, they were chosen by god!!
I will not intrude myself in an endless arguments or trying to convince you that the Christians' Jewish' and Muslim's god is the same. You can read and then understand!

@Kent, I believe you should read more about Muslims and Quran because Islam was never about killing the non-Muslim people!! this is what I call being ignorant! I believe that you got some information from here and there and decided to prove you understand by telling us things you heard!! Before writing anything please read enough we don't want more ignorant people in the world!!
@Country girl, who on earth has told that Muslims call the moon "god"??? my advise to you, instead of calling people silly, go read some good information that might be useful to you some day!!!

we the muslims believe in one God that is Allah &no one except Him.jesus was prophet of Allah (S.W.T).so how can we think him bad,Moses was also a prophet he was also good, all the Prophets were good, noble, kind, they fear God.&we don't believe in this that Jesus said "no one is good but God".we believe that :
He said: Surely I am a servant of Allah; He has given me the Book and made me a prophet;
And He has made me blessed wherever I may be, and He has enjoined on me prayer and poor-rate so long as I live
And dutiful to my mother, and He has not made me insolent, unblessed
So peace is on me the day I was born, the day that I die, and the day that I shall be raised up to life (again)"!
Such (was) Jesus the son of Mary: (it is) a statement of truth, about which they (vainly) dispute.
It beseems not Allah that He should take to Himself a ! son, glory to be Him; when He has decreed a matter He only says to it "Be," and it is.
Verily Allah is my Lord and your Lord: Him therefore serve ye: this is a Way that is straight.
" Verilt Allah is true"
these are the words of Holy Quran &we believe in this last Book.(Surah til Maryam

I think you haven't read the whole verse. "Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God (Mark 10:18)." In this verse, Jesus Christ (Peace be upon Him) says clearly that Good is only God, so don't consider me Good, means don't consider me God. You shouldn't consider Jesus as God because of a half of a verse (no one is good but God). You should read the whole verse.

Your question was that do we consider Jesus Chirst (PBUH) Good, then my answer is that we Muslims believe that every prophet is innocent, pure and good. What they said, is not what they say theirself, but that is all what the Almighty God commands them. Their saying is God's saying. We don't differ among Adam, Abraham, Lot, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, David, Solomon, John & Jesus (Peace be upon them all). My advice to you is that before asking any question related to religion, you should do some research on it. Questioning is good, but God has given you mind, use it for positive purposes.
My aim in this answer was not to hurt anyone's feelings but was just to answer and to present Muslims' pont of view.

For muslim, Jesus is one of the prophet selected by God to guide his people to obey the true God. God has selected few prophets from time to time because humen tend to forgot the true God and they tend to follow satan. The last prophet is Muhammad pbuh that we have to acknowledge him. All the prophets are not God but human and they go to toilet too.

I'm not a Muslim but you're kinda over simplifying the whole "good= God" deal... kinda using it out of it's context... and you spelled prophet incorrectly..

anyway, my take on what I think you're trying to ask is that Jesus Christ said he was God. So if Muslims don't believe Jesus is God, then he would be a liar to them, yet Muslims respect Jesus as prophet.. so that part doesn't make much sense to me.

Umm. Are you just trying to put Muslim's in a bind? I'm a Christian and I don't see a point to this question. And to the person that says Allah does not equal God or Yahweh - you are incorrect. Judaism, Christianity, and Islam all branched out of Abraham. One would assume that he got his authority from the same Being.

Jesus never said the above sentence.

The correct sentence is below and every Prophet said in his whole life.
"There is no GOD except ALLAH".
