She isn't really "into" any one thing right now. She kinda plays w/ her dolls still but not enough to spend more money on them. I would like to get her something that is fun and will be put to good use.

Any ideas???

I would think a craft kit that you can do with her would be fun, there is a glow sticker et at Micheals that is like jelly ornaments to put on/peel off windows. How about a cotton shirt and socks and dye to tie dye the set? Maybe a paint by number kit if you do not want something you have to participatte in. A neat organizer for her dolls. Tickets for her and a friend to go to a local show. If she likes her hair done up in barrets and/or beads you can buy a took box at the dollar store and fill it with brush, comb, bands/ties, barretts and what ever else she may like. If none of this sounds fun to you, maybe buy her three $10.00 gift certificates at different discount stores and let her go on a shopping spree.
A few more thoughts: a subscription to a magazine of interest, or sign up for a class like horse back ridingm skating or crafts.

Even if she doesn't play with the dolls a lot, even some new outfits for them might be appreciated. Not sure about your step-daughter, but my niece is 10 and is totally into High School Musical right now....obsessed....lol. Anything from that movie is popular.

Girls are very private, what about getting a diary that she can lock. Better yet a designed journal book that she can lock. I have made many of them as an artist. If you decide you want something like that with her name burned in leather, email me. kaiser.cathy@yahoo.com my website is www.kaisercreations.com. I love to be challenged with things such as this.
