I am a British Muslim (I was born here but my parents are migrants) and I was just wondering what people thought about Muslims and if they thought we were all terrorists.

In case you were wondering, I think that terrorism is wrong and terrorists are just stupid. I also think that people should stop stereotyping Muslims but I doubt that will happen.

Yes they should be allowed to stay in the country, however accepting new ones would be naive on the part of the government. Why accept immigrants from countries that are known sponsors of terrorism? That doesn't make sense.

Stereotyping maybe wrong and mostly unjustified but as far as say... airport security, it may be a necessary evil. How many Puerto Ricans are involved in terrorism? At some point politcal correctness should be put on the back burner to make way for common sense.

I don't have anything against a moderate Muslim and in fact have had and now have Muslim friends, however I also understand the threat that extremist Muslims represent.

So to answer your question yes Muslims who currently are citizens of a country should be allowed there, but no Muslims coming in from a known terrorist supporting country should not be allowed in.

I have known a couple of muslims in my time and to be honest some days we got along really well and religion made no difference. But other times when religion was talked about they put up a wall and refuse to even listen or discuss views that differ from their own. In todays free society i found this rather backwards and i don't think this mentality will ever change.

Of the limited muslim families i have seen, they all have more children than they can afford and expect the government to bail them out, it is these muslims that give Islam a bad name in my opinion.

Of course i do. As a Scottish citizen born and raised who reverted to Islam 3 years ago. I always lived with, went to school with, was friends and neighbors with, worked with Muslims and they never once forced there faith or opinions on me. Before 9/11 no one ever gave Muslims a second though. They lived and worked peacefully in this country and where never an issue. Because of a few extremist now we are all responsible for there actions? Now we all have to be painted with the same brush? Did anyone question whether catholics should be allowed in this country after the IRA bombed and terrorized this country for over a decade? No. And Muslims just because they are followers of the same faith are some extremists should have to pay for the crimes of another? Sorry it just does not work that way. My mother grew up with Muslims in this country to and this was the 40's and 50's. Muslims are nothing new to this country and are not criminals and most definitely should not be treated as such. Peace to you sister.

Muslims should be allowed in USA, Britain and every other country in the world. I'm an American Muslim and I think Britain is a nice country. I like all the castles but don't like all the Islamaphobia in that country. Anyway no one should be discriminated against because of their race, religion, or national orgin.

Of course you can't stop Muslims living here but the problem with Muslims and terrorism is that 9/11 was carried out by Muslims and the bombs in London on public transport and the attempted ones were all done by Muslims and some Muslim leaders did not condemn the people who carried them out. So if the security people are looking to prevent future terrorism they are are not going to look at the Jewish community, the Christian community or the Hindu community are they. They are going to concentrate their attention in the community that the terrorist came from. In my opinion I think the Muslim community should be doing a lot more to eradicate the terrorists from their organisations than they are doing.

You doubt correctly.
I spent many years living and working in an Islamic country. I observed this restrictive religion being in total control of people's lives and it saddened me.
Also saddening is the fact that, while not all muslims are terrorists (I had many good friends who were muslims during my time) but it is true that most despicable acts of destruction and murder ARE carried out by muslims AND more and more of these extremists are being created by the day. While that process continues and young muslim men continue to attack anything that doesn't agree with their own mindset, killing innocents and even their own people, the stereotype will strengthen.
You must learn to live with that but, instead of just standing back and letting it all happen, you should stand up for your own thoughts and actually do something to turn the tide. What can one man do? Bin Laden was one man. Do you have his level of conviction or not?

By the way, you are a muslim ONLY because your parents are. It is a geographical accident that you are a muslim. Why would you want to be a muslim otherwise? Why not be a Buddhist?
On top of that, since religion is just a psychological fantasy, human beings should abandon it so that they can grow to respond appropriately to deal with the world as it is and not how they want it to be. All gods are imaginary and do not exist so why should anyone have their life ruled by ancient myths that have no basis in reality. Doesn't it all seem rather archaic to you?

Why shouldn't they be? I am a British woman and I just married my husband in Tunisia, he is muslim, he has got his visa and works just like anyone else. And I would not have married him if I thought he was a terrorist. People will always stereotype everyone no matter where they are from.

There has not been enough of an outcry against terrorism by the Muslim community so one could only suspect that it is condoned or Muslim's fear to speak out against it.

The Koran itself, also in more than one place, clearly calls for the faithful Muslims to "kill the infidels" ('infidels' = non-Muslims). The Koran even goes further, and indicates the 'infidels' may be killed by trickery or treachery or however possible.

So I would prefer you not come to the United States, but there is no law to stop you.
