Buddhism.

But Pastafarianism is tastier and saucier, so sense really isn't an issue.

Well, of the three, most types of Buddhism that I have read about don't have gods or other science fiction based belief systems. (excluding Tibetan Buddhism that is, after all Tibetan Buddhism is the Catholicism of the Buddhist faith.) Still, as far as religions go, Buddhism seams to be the most realistic. Personally, I think Buddha was a wise man with good ideas, but I still think he was a little off base. But that is a topic for another day.

As for Christianity and Pastafarianism, well, what's the difference? Other then the fact that Pastafarianism is modern take on the 1950's Russell's Teapot argument (the foolishness of un-provability as proof of a claims existence.) and thus a parody religion. After all, both 'religions' demand you believe in the existence of something so preposterous that anyone who gave it any real thought would have to laugh at themselves for even thinking it could be real.

Christianity DEMANDS that you believe in a god that can't be seen, heard, touched, felt, photographed, located, or otherwise detected or proven to exist. A god that defines all known or suspects natural laws and exists as a solitary, unique and supreme being. Um...Yea, sure and while you're at it, believe in a devil, angels, giants (Actually Half man half angel beings called Nephilim). dragons, witches, wizards, necromancers, familiar spirits, demons [NKJV], unicorns, ghosts and other nonsensical things. (Each of these DOES appear in the bible at least once.) So while Christians are expected to believe this mess of foolishness, they laugh at others who believe in things like magic (Wiccans & Pagans) or in multiple gods (Pagans, Hindus, Religious Taoism, Traditional Chinese Religions and other old religions.) Or no god at all such as Atheists and Buddhists. Go figure?

Anyway, If you are asking because you are looking for a religion, I would recommend NOT getting involved in a religion...at least not until I start a religion based on REALITY! BUT, if you absolutely need a religion to make yourself feel good, then I would say go with Buddhism...or Pastafarianism. After all, Pastafarianis get to eat a lot of spaghetti ...MMMmmmmm! I LOVE spaghetti.

Enjoy!

The great thing about Pastafarianism and Buddhism is both are extremely accepting of others.

In my humble opinion, Buddhism makes the most sense. It is a religion without mystic gods, mandated dogma or beliefs that are scientifically impossible. Furthermore, it doesn’t tech hatred of or even the dismissal of other faiths and peace and refrain from hurting others is it's theme. Not to mention Buddha asked that all assumptions be questioned and proven to yourself. Thus, faith isn’t really the right ward for the Buddhist religion since faith implies acceptance without proof.

I don’t want to speak ill of Christianity (or any other religion) but it my opinions that they are mostly religions of self-service as opposed to world service.

As for Pastafarianism, let's just say as a vegetarian, I LOVE pasta, I just prefer vegan meatballs to beef. But if you are going to worship something, it may as well be food. lol

I hope this helps.

Pastafarianism makes the most sense. Unintelligent design is the most brilliant theory out there.

Sorry, I'd probably choose Buddhism, but then again no religion really makes sense.

You can't compare them. Buddhism is not a religion. It is a way of thinking.
