If God already knows what that person will become from the very beginning, then do you think that he created that person to do his/her purpose on earth and be condemned in the after life?..

Well, I think that from the Christian perspective the answer is "nobody knows for sure." It is not a sin to "be" gay. It's a sin to engage in sodomy and other such conduct.

Look at it this way. Premarital sex is a sin, right? But it's not a sin to "be" an unmarried heterosexual, right? O.k. - it's the same thing with being a homosexual. It's o.k. to "be" homosexual", but it's a sin to engage in sex with same sex partners.

Now, that just clarifies what is a sin. Sinning is not what condemns people to hell. Everyone sins. It's sinning without receiving the grace of God and redemption from God that condemns one to hell.

There are differences of opinion within Christianity as to how exactly that happens. Some say it's not in our control, and that salvation will only come to a few "elect" individuals. Others say that all we have to do is accept Jesus and all of our sins are forgiven. Others say we have to have faith in Jesus, and do good things as well as confess and repent of our sins in order to be saved.

So, it's a complex question, but there is no blanket damnation for homosexuals. Jesus held his hand out to the prostitutes, the thieves and the murderers.... I'm sure his hand is out to gay people too.

Only God can answer that one...I will say though that I am a bit confused and turned off by the idea that a homosexual will be condemned to hell for no other reason that sexual preference, no matter how kind and giving that person is. Can you imagine seeing a caring homosexual sitting in hell next to a cold-blooded mass murderer? I have a hard time buying it, but I've been wrong before.

God is good he does no evil if homosexuality is evil then god did not take part in making it.
As far as who is condemned ... i cannot judge that but i can say god is a merciful god. I don't know exactly where people find all this evidence against gay people not saying that it is condoned but the way allot of religious people talk it is a hideous crime i don't see it that way i think that if someone is going to be homosexual that they should at least practice the same rules as heterosexual with one partner in a committed relationship so to get the commandment right ... do not commit adultry

I think that homosexuality disturbs people of a certain type.
I don't think it disturbs God that much or he wouldn't have created people like that. I've known gay people all my life and its never made me gay, I'm not even interested in same sex relationships, so I know its not catching. But gay people are good or bad, or needs improvement like any other group. There is a variety of people and I see no reason God would want to condemn homosexuals to Hell who are good, kind and responsible people, and let those flourish who are selfish, unconcerned with the problems of humanity, and would convince others that hating is a good thing.

I can not say if any specific person will be condemned to hell. Only God knows that but I do know that homosexuality is a sin. So just like being a thief, liar, murderer, or any other sinner, a homosexual will have to be judged for their sins. The only way to get to heaven is believe that Jesus is the son of God, that he came to earth and died as payment for our sins, then admit to him that you have sinned, ask forgiveness and start changing your life to be sinless. God loves the person, he hates the sin. Good luck and God bless.

If God made everyone in His own Image, that includes gays.
Does God care about minutiae such as what people do in their sex lives? The way that God is written by some is that he is a jealous god who will have no other gods put before him, that he must be worshipped, and that he judges man by man's moral laws of the era.

That is a petty god - how can anyone believe that? A petty man( or men), one who thinks that being worshipped, full of EGO wrote those things. And Hell exists only on this earth and in people's minds.

A person does not make that decision it is something that is just in them, that is the way they feel it can not be helped. How could God condem something that he built into people.
I think and believe that God will only condem those who do not live there live to the fullest while doing so in a good way. For the most part, believe, be good, dont steal or kill or hurt. Be kind to others and respect others. You should be good to go as long as you follow the straight and narrow path he has laid.

God knows the end from the beginning on all people. The bible gives us a way to salvation through Jesus. What any persons decided to do with Him is their choice.

Of coarse not. That's just a fanatical Fundamentalist teaching. God, through Jesus, created each of us, some straight, some gay, some in between. He knows it's not a choice as does every gay person out there. Yet we keep hearing from the religious right that they know for sure it's a choice and that everyone that is not straight is going to hell.

This new breed of 'Fundamentalist Christians' as they call themselves, blame their hatred and prejudices on God. They are brainwashed by their preachers into believing these distortions of the bible. Then they go and preach these lies to the world and use them to judge, ridicule, and oppress others.

Biblical passages supposedly referring to homosexuality had much different meanings in the original Hebrew and Greek scriptures than they do in modern translations. And early Christians never thought of homosexuality as a sin. It was only through the corruption of the Babylonian Vatican and their scribes, and the disease known as fundamentalism that homosexuality became a sin. And the world is now filled with all these modern psuedo-Christians spewing hate and ignorance.

- Many will say to me on that day, "Lord did not we prophesy in your name?" And I will tell them plainly "I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers". Matt. 7:22-23

God condemns people to Hell who have chosen to make themselves their own god. God made us in His image. We are not to make God in our image or ourselves to be God Himself. Any person choosing to do evil against God's laws has chosen to make himself God.

As for sexuality, the only sex allowed by God is sexual activity within a holy marriage. Any sex outside of marriage is not promoted, condoned or allowed by God. Sex outside of marriage breaks the 7th commandment. It is a sin against marriage. This world is full of people creating evil through their sexual practices. Will they all go to Hell because they have rejected God to create themselves above Him? Perhaps, if they don't change.

Gays, lesbians and bisexual people cannot marry. They are not capable of holy matrimony. Holy matrimony only exists between a man and a woman who are sexually attracted to one another. Anyone who finds themselves permanently homosexual may never marry.

In my experience, many homosexuals are created that way from early childhood abuses. These are so painful that the memory of them has been erased or "blacked out." This "black out" is a survival tool allowing the child to function through this period of powerless terror. There may be some homosexuals who were just "born that way." If this is the case, a single life is the challenge they have to follow God's way for them.

Yours in Christ Jesus
